This hotel met all our expectations. Checked was easy, quick and and met with a smile by all the employees. Hotel is kept immaculately clean and the beds are very comfortable. Breakfast was the normal fare for Hampton Inn - was more than enough, dining area was well maintained. Location is on river/bay so see and hear the water /boating... More

We were checked in early with no problem and met with a smile by all the employees. We have no complaints except wishing the sea lions would go to bed at night! This is a nice place to stay and it is kept immaculately clean and the beds are very comfortable.

We enjoyed our stay at Hampton Inn very much, the rooms were very clean & quiet, the breakfast in the morning was 1st class. If you are going for business, you may want to bring equipment as the business center was not well equipped.

I like high-floor rooms with water views and with balconies with doors that can be left open for fresh air while sleeping. That is what I asked for, and that is what I received (I did make the reservation several months in advance -- I would guess this place fills up quickly.. Watching the ships, talking walks along the waterfront... More

My wife and I stayed here for a weekend getaway this summer. The property is very nice and the staff is friendly. We had a river view room on the second floor and enjoyed watching the passing river traffic and seabirds.

Normally stay at Marriott Courtyard. These are very comparable in rooms. The lobby is better, the general space is better and the breakfast is part of the room. Beat the last stay at Marriott. Queen rooms are tight. King rooms are great.

Beautifiul, convenient location on the river with a trolley that runs into town from noon to 6 pm in the Summer. Front desk staff was rude on check in. Housekeeping had to be called twice due to errors in room servicing. Breakfast was good 3 out of 4 mornings. (Don't eat the bagel with eggs and sauce on top!) Average... More

For $219 plus taxes I expected a better room and service. Only paper cups in the rooms and breakfast area for drinks and coffee. Breakfast was not great. This is a decent enough hotel except it's incredibly overpriced and they skimp on amenitites. Won't ever stay here again.

Wow, we were really impressed with the size of the rooms and the location. We had an incredible view of the riverfront, the bridge and Washington State across the river (when the fog lifted). The staff was lovely. The breakfast was great. Wish we had stayed in a room with a balcony, but not sure if those are pet friendly... More

During a 2 week family vacation of the beautiful Pacific Northwest we stayed at the wonderful Hampton Inn and Suites Astoria based on Tripadvisor reviews. This particular Hampton is more like an upscale hotel in location, architecture design, rooms, customer service, etc. Also, it was the first hotel I've ever been to which the stairwell was carpeted and maintained just...
