Cute little motel near the Astoria bridge. Stayed in April 2014. Outdated however still clean. Service was good, the gentleman at the front desk was delightful and helpful. Small continental breakfast but good oatmeal. Very decent stay and right value for the price. If you want somewhere ritzy this ain't the place for you. You get what you see.

The staff was very friendly. We had a room upstairs on the top level. It was clean, comfortable and affordable.. Don't be expecting much It is what it is- a motel, but it was sparking clean and has cable! When we come back to visit we will definitely be staying here.

I have stayed here many times. It is a great value, comfortable rooms, a nice but small breakfast . tasty but sweet pastry. Bananas and Oranges. I think for the quality and value it's about the best Astoria has to offer

I'd planned to camp at Ft Stevens but had a tag along friend who wanted to stay in a hotel. We ended up here. What a mistake. The room had cigarette smoke coming thru the adjoining door to the room (connected to another room). We could hear everything any of our neighbors said. The bathroom floor was sinking. At 5am,... Astoria Or. is a nice place to travel through. The chain motels are pricey (arround $150.) which really isn,t worth it. The lamplighter is a dated hotel near the big bridge that has lot,s of traffic near by. At $90. it a little too much--but this town will make you pay. Then rooms were clean. The bath floor should have been... More

This place is very outdated but staff are very friendly. The bed was comfortable and had hot water. It is a nice walk to town from this motel along the river walk. Passed on the continental breakfast as it was only offering pastries but the Pig and Pancake is on the same parking lot so this worked for us.

The front desk staff are quite pleasant, friendly, and helpful. The free basic breakfast is a nice touch. The room was clean, but VERY dated. Probably would have felt better about this property had I been paying a cheaper rate, but at over $90/night this did not seem like such a great bargain.

We recently stayed at the Lamplighter Motel in Astoria. When I called to make the reservation, I was immediately impressed with the friendliness of the lady who answered the phone. The motel is an older facility, but it is VERY clean and well-maintained. Our room was spotless. We had stayed at a chain motel with a good reputation a few... More

I stayed here for one night in August 2013 after the Hood to Coast race. There is no disputing this is a dated motel on the exterior and the interior. The walls are quite thin for starters and don't be expecting flat screen TVs in all of the rooms. All of the furnitures look like they are from the 70's... More

I am on a bike ride (Vancouver to Tijuana) to raise money and awareness for childhood obesity. I arrived, and because I am traveling on a budget, I wasn't able to afford the original price quoted. After I explained why I was biking across the country, Debbie was kind enough to drop the price by $25. Jim also was very... More
