The hotel is basic (but also not expensive), but our room was clean as well as the shared bathroom was. Our bed was small, but good. The hotel has a trendy coffee bar next door, where we enjoyed our breakfast. Overall, it was a good experience. We would recommend this hotel to anyone who doesn't have a problem with small... More

The hotel is very chic. An old hotel that has been thoughtfully revamped with clean, modern accommodations. Our room has a bathroom, which Is nice, but some of the other rooms share a bathroom down the hall if that is a concern for you. Otherwise, the staff are extremely friendly, the Internet is fast, the room is modernized with tasteful... More

My husband and I have stayed here a couple of times and it has always been a great stay. The rooms are up to date, include nice robes, and a great check in person. We loved the stay because the room is nice and clean and centrally located to a really good coffee shop with breakfast options (located on the... More

My wife and I needed a place to stay for a totally impromptu trip out to Astoria. We landed at The Commodore and had a fine time. The historic old place has been nicely renovated, but still retains original quirks like super-teeny rooms with toilets and showers down the hall. Bathrobes provided. Excellent location, friendly service, super clean, coffee shop... More

Jeremy, Thanks for taking the time to review your stay. Feedback is always appreciated! also- we just installed double-paned sound windows on all of our most exposed, Commercial St. facing rooms. Come stay with us anytime. We're the same great Commodore, only now with less street noise. More

Great unique hotel. We splurged (barely, the rates are very reasonable) on a suite and loved room 308 with its couch seating area and ensuite bathroom. Just be sure to ask for ear plugs when you check in, street noise can be an issue (old thin windows). Service was sweet, the collection of DVDs available a treat, and we had... More

Thank you for the lovely review! And I am proud to announce: we've recently installed double-paned sound windows on all our commercial street fronting rooms. Come again and see what a difference they make :D More

The commodore was recently renavated and is a great value in Astoria. I am in the Hotel business as a career and do not like staying in corporate box hotels. The commodore is very well appointed, community bathroom facilities were clean and not crowded and the front desk staff was super nice. It is a historic hotel so it can... More

We had a wonderful stay at the Commodore celebrating our 1st Anniversary. The location is perfect, the lobby is darling and the rooms are clean/simple. Simple is the key. There aren't a lot of extras in the room, but that is quite alright. The coffee shop attached to the hotel was incredibly convenient. We knew going into it that our... More

I spent one night at this hotel, and all I can say is wow. Great service at front desk, very cozy rooms, walkable to Fort George brewery, and an in house coffee shop make this hotel extremely charming. We stayed in a cabin room, which while at first seemed small, soon grew on me and enveloped us in its warm... More

Booked on line and were intrigued by the description. We were not disappointed. Great location, great room and ultra clean. Had read about the road noise but we did not find this a problem. Staff wonderful and helpful. Recommendation for supper was good. We love to stay and eat at interesting one-of, places and this definitely was one for good... More

I had a written confirmation for a 2-day reservation at the Commodore Hotel. I was in town for a symposium on a busy weekend and arrived just before it started. I checked in and brought in my things. Then I compared my receipt to my reservation confirmation and I found that they had changed the price on me and charged... More

Thank you for taking the time to review your experience at the Commodore. We work very hard to provide excellent service while keeping our rates as low as possible, but sometimes we miss the mark. I’m sorry for the difficulty surrounding your bill during your recent visit. It is frustrating to see something escalate into such a negative experience when... More
