Yes this is a "Pet Friendly" place, however they have no outside property for pet potty time. Parking is street parking only, with many time restrictions. It is not handi-cap accessible with 3 flights of stairs just to get to the check-in desk and no elevator. I understand that the building is historic however the floors are very cold and... More

This place is awesome!!! Typically we stay at Hilton Garden Inn properties, but my bucket list includes looking for other options. We got a private room for the night for $69. This was my boyfriends first stay in a hostel. I have only stayed in one, one time before. My first experience was great, so we gave this one a... More

The Norblad is just a block from a great bakery and a good pub and restaurant is across the street as as well as a coop grocery. It is just a block above Main St and it is fun to stroll there as well as the waterfront just 2 blocks north. It is clean, comfortable and stylish. I will stay... More

It's clean and spacious, with bright rooms and large windows overlooking the gorgeous city. The place is remodeled, so it has this excellent old-new feel to it. The staff are helpful and friendly, and I never felt like I was bothering them with my questions. There was always a bathroom and shower available, and the communal kitchen and laundry were... More

I had certain expectations based on the "Hostel" part of the name, and the description of the room. Nice facility, historic, great location, but it's not a hostel. It is a newly renovated historic hotel with a few rooms they've installed bunks into. Despite the description there really isn't a communal kitchen. It's a room behind the office with a... More

My boyfriend booked us a night here in Astoria instead of the other few local hotels because it seemed very trendy and relaxed, a different spin than the rest of the stops on our West Coast road trip. It. Is. Awesome. I'll just say that we took note of just about all furniture/accessories and color palettes for future decorating. The... More

I really enjoyed the decor of this place. My room was very open and spacious, with lots of windows. I had windows open all night, as it was summer and warm. That really made for quite a bit of noise, unfortunately, but it's to be expected being right over the street. There is a sink in the room, and a... More

We LOVED staying here! The manager was so helpful and friendly and the place was newly renovated so everything was clean and modern. We stayed in a European style room and shared the bathroom and shower down the hall. It also slightly had a view of the river which was nice. Everything was immaculately clean and fresh. The atmosphere was... More

Nice, clean and cozy independent hotel/hostel. I am not acclaiming this place as much as other people, because I felt that it was ment to be just a hotel, not a hostel. In hostels there are usually few amenities which are helping backpackers on their way. There was a kitchen, but very few pans or pots to cook anything or... More

We had such a terrific experience with this stay. The place is super clean, and really accommodating. The stay was by far the best part of our Astoria trip...we plan on bringing a group back next month for a special weekend adventure.
