I was traveling from Seattle to Astoria and called on my way to assure that there was a room. They said not to worry and that they were open until 10:00pm. So when I showed up at 8:30 I was surprised to find the front door locked. I called the number on the door for about the next half hour... more
When we got to the address of the Astoria Hideaway Hotel we found a hotel named The Norblad. They had our reservations, so perhaps there has been a name change along the way(?). This place definitely has a hostel feel to it. It's a place you can find a tattooed and pierced young man talking to guy visiting from Europe.... more
This is a good place for young people on a budget or passer-bys. The city is a charming one and this hostel is right in the heart of it. Got a bit of a weird vibe from the people there, but got a private room and it was clean and has a view of the river. I wouldn't want to... more
