We had a good stay here. Helpful friendly staff, pretty decent location with a nice view of the bridge, comfy beds decent rooms for the price. Unfortunately that nice view also means the motel is placed smack in the center of the looping overpass that connects the freeway to the main bridge. If you're a light sleeper this could pose... No complaints with the Astoria dunes. Situated on the busy road but most rooms are not facing so wasn't disturbed. Efficient checkin, room was nice and spacious, with king bed, fridge, microwave, TV, coffee maker, wifi throughout the room. Shower powerful. Room was clean and comfortable Basic breakfast provided in the reception, better than nothing! For the price this surpassed... More

Front desk lady was very nice, let me go in the hot tub even after it was closed--get there early (before 9). Service was prompt, efficient and friendly. The room was huge for just me, comfortable bed, nice bathroom, reasonably priced for hotels nowadays. A little dated, but not unclean. TV remote needed replacing and no listing of TV channels,... I picked this place because of the proximity to a few places and because I was tired. I had checked this place out before and deemed it kind of unfriendly and too spendy. The rooms are OK I suppose but It just doesn't set good with me; not much of a breakfast. Of course all Astoria motels are spendy but... More

The rooms were clean and spacious and pet friendly. The staff at the front desk were extremely courteous and helpful. The motel itself is nothing fancy and very dated but for the price it was worth it. The best part about it was the location which was right along the river walk, great for going for a run along in... Drove down to the Astoria area to get in on some late(-r) season salmon fishing with my brother (that means after Labor Day on the lower Columbia). The only non-smoking room available in Astoria on a Sunday night had one King size bed; but what the heck, I slept in the same bed with my brother for over fifteen years... More

This motel is located in a scenic spot. When we arrived we had to wait in a long line to check in. Later we got to our room and the bed table came crashing off of the wall leaving a bruise and a scratch on my arm. When I awoke the next morning I stepped out and went for a... More

First time staying at the Dunes in Astoria. Usually stay elsewhere but had out of town friends wanting a weekend at the Oregon coast. Luckily they had 2 rooms available (reserved several weeks in advance). We were all very happy with the two rooms. Stayed on river side. Very clean and comfortable. Walked into town via the walkway next to... More

The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the view of the Columbia River was awesome as was Amanda at the front desk. We appreciated having a microwave and fridge very much. The water pressure was great. We'll stay again if we find ourselves in the area. Each room has it's own HVAC system which work great for us. These... More

This motel is located in front of a luxury hotel with a price to match. We knew we would be staying for a short time and so bells and whistles were not important although there was a microwave, fridge, coffee maker and wifi. The owner was very courteous and she even gave us the keys to two rooms to see... More
