This hotel is not bad, but it certainly wasn't what I expected. I thought it was going to be more plush and accommodating. You can tell immediately that it has been overhauled to try to keep up with the Jones's. Their updates don't work on so many levels. The lobby is riddled with places to sit with no apparent pattern.... more

I stayed at Wyndham Jacksonville Riverwalk for one night for business, and chose this hotel because of the location and because we got a good rate. But I'll never stay here again, no matter how cheap the rate. Everything about the hotel is depressing, dumpy and dated, from the overly dim lighting in the hallways and lobby to the worn... more

My husband and I travel for work and pleasure about once a month. This is by far the worst hotel we have stayed in. I almost feel badly saying that, as the staff was extremely friendly and nice. We had to wait fifteen minutes for parking, the room was dirty from age and wear, the room lights were dim. The... more

First the Positives: Bed was very comfortable. Chair in the room was perfect for working in with the adjustable arms-perfect for laptop or book reading. My room had a balcony so I could air out the room. Front desk staff were pleasant and helpful with dinner recommendations. The Charter House was fabulous! Our server, Johnny was magnificent! The appetizers were... more

I went to Jacksonville for the Gator Bowl. I'm 53 and I took 6 of my Grandchildren with me ranging in age from 29 to 2. The Wyndham was my last choice of where I wanted to stay. Read so many bad reviews. I was prepared for the worst and told the kids it was just 2 days and we... more

I stayed at the Wyndham Hotel with family members while we were in Jacksonville for the GatorBowl. I was there Dec. 31 and Jan. 1. I'm a pretty seasoned traveller, and I don't get too flustered with minor inconvienances. So I'll try to present a fair assessment of this hotel. The Positives: Great Location! - Just outside the front door... more

Not unclean per se but definitely in need of major overhaul. Don't know the area that well but have to believe there are better lodging choices in Jacksonville. Lighting is poor throughout the hotel from common area as well as the room itself. Hotel looks like it hasn't had a facelift since 1970s. more

The property is the perfect location for attending football games at "Gator Bowl" stadium. You can park your car at the hotel and catch the water taxi to the game. This hotel could use a few upgrades. The lobby and lobby bar are very nice with attentive bartenders. The rooms are kind of old fashioned and need a little TLC.... more

Stayed here on a business trip. It was a horrible experience. The place is dark and dirty (don't look at the photos - they added a lot of lighting). The food was not fit for consumption. more

We stayed here for a convention. I arrived at 7pm at night and turned on the light in the room and it was so dark. I turned on all 4 lights and thought I wouldn't even be able to read my book. Two mintues later the lights were much brighter - it just took a little while. The problem with... more
