The House on Cherry Street was a perfect base for getting to know historic Jacksonville and all that it offers: beautiful tree-lined streets with historic houses full of character, a river as wide as the eye can see, bountiful bird life, and easy access to wilderness areas in the north and St. Augustine to the south. Victoria and Robert were... More

I called at the last minute for a business trip on a 2 night stay. Victoria , the innkeeper gave me a great room and a great rate. The room had an outrageous view of the St John's river-beautiful sunrise and twinkling night city lights at night. I enjoyed walking through the garden-right on the river!! The house itself also... This Bed and Breakfast is my preferred lodging in Jacksonville FL. It resides on the St. John's River, which affords spectacular sun rises and moon rises, not to mention birds and fish. I like the rooms, which are interesting and comfortable. The food is good, and some of it is harvested from the innkeepers' organic garden. The innkeepers are knowledgeable... More

Jacksonville in February, not going for the sunshine but property owners, Victoria & Robert, delivered a warm and charming weekend. My wife and I couldn't ask for better hosts and accomodations. Thanks.

I am a monk and while leading a mission in Jacksonville my brother monk and I stayed at this wonderful B&B. It's a beautiful location with great scenery. As well, the accomadations were great. Rooms were comfortable, in excellent clean conditions, and the bathrooms, reminded me of my grandmother's old home. The proprietors as well were lovely to stay with.... More

My husband and I recently stayed at the House on Cherry St during a weekend visit to Jacksonville. We are a young, married couple and brought another couple with us. The house itself is absolutely beautiful, and its' rooms are meticulously maintained. On our first night we enjoyed a gorgeous sunset on the dock overlooking the St. John's River, followed... More

In April, we had one of the most delightful stays we've ever had at a B&B. The proprietor, Victoria, is one of those special people that treat you like a family member from the moment she meets you. The garden, the river, the hospitality -- were the perfect ingredients to a wonderful visit to Jacksonville. I played the Grand Piano... More

After reading the reviews, we really wanted to stay here. Called mid-day during the week to make a reservation and had to leave a message with the answering service. Waited 2 days for a return call but never got one. Called again. This time I told the answering service operator that I had already left a message which had never... More

A beautiful house with a sensational setting on the river with a neat dock to sit at and enjoy the sunrise/sunset and to relax. Victoria is a sensational host and a fascinating person, who goes above and beyond to help her guests. She is clearly a person who loves her work. Home is in the beautiful Avondale area, where we... I recently stayed at this wonderful house and would recommend it for anyone staying in the Jacksonville area. The couple who run the Inn are the perfect hosts making sure that every thing was as we needed. I have already booked for another visit.
