They’ve had a huge water issue here. They are trying to dry out a big public area with fans and dehumidifiers. We walked into our third floor room, and we were assaulted by a strong smell of mold. The hotel staff has been instructed to say that a guest fell asleep in their bathtub, and the bathtub overflowed for several hours. The areas affected are spread out all over the hotel and on different floors and it’s hard to believe it was just from one bathtub.

The check in clerk was very nice and we chatted for some time about another town where we both had lived. The room was clean and the bed was firm, which I like. Breakfast choices were good and well stocked. The area around the hotel felt safe. All in, a good place to stay at a reasonable rate.

Been staying at this property for over ten years, and it’s beginning to show its age. I reviewed in May, 2021, and noted floor in one of the elevators was cracked, and the crack is now worse. The amenities in the room were surprisingly generic including the facial tissue which wasn’t in the vanity as it usually is - just not what I expect from a Marriott brand property. The shower still had the bottled shampoo/conditioner/body wash on the wall, but there were hairs behind the bottles, and it did not smell like the scent noted on the bottles. The guest laundry has new machines, but the room itself needed to be cleaned. Breakfast was fine, staff is always helpful and friendly, and they can only work with what they are given. Would stay again, but would also price two of the other properties right next door and consider the best deal.

I'm lifetime Titanium with Marriott and have exclusively stayed on Marriott properties since October, 2006. Having said that, I have often been disappointed with "post covid" stays in 2021 and 2022. HOWEVER, this property was like I remembered Marriott. We were there for three nights to attend a church meeting in nearby Macclenny. Some highlights: 1. Check-in and front desk: Carlton was our check in person and was VERY kind and helpful. It's people like him that keeps me a loyal Marriott customer. 2. Food: Unlike some other properties I've stayed at since 2021, this property has resumed offering a traditional Marriott breakfast (scrambled eggs, sausage, oatmeal, etc.). Bailey did an EXCELLENT job in providing and keeping the breakfast food available for us. In addition, she was VERY friendly and helpful. 3. Room: We had a King Suite and it was very nice. The room was clean, bed very comfortable, and all mechanical items in good working order. I can tell those that maintain the rooms care about their work. All I spoke to were polite and friendly. One more thing, the people in the room next door were making noise late one night (01-28-2023). I called the front desk and he said he'd take care of it (sorry: didn't know his name). Within 5 minutes, the noise stopped and never resumed. Showed that when there is a problem, it is quickly and successfully addressed. Please thank the gentleman who was working that night - Well done! In Summary: I can tell this facility has great management. Again - thank you to Carlton and Bailey and all in the staff for making our stay so nice. We will stay here again when in the area. God Bless!

Nice room, (probably renovated recently), quiet and not far from the I95 south. Few restaurants in a walk distance (Ruby Tuesday, Zaxby's, Long Horn steakhouse). The room was bigger than usual. The breakfast was higher than average with eggs, sausages, bagels, yogourt, cereals and fruits.

Have stayed here many times, and overall this property remains consistent and clean. The employees are always friendly and polite. Fewer options for breakfast than in the past, and common areas could use some attention - floor in elevator was cracked, guest laundry was out of service. I do question the change from personalized shampoo, soap and conditioner to large bottles in the tub. While the products were of excellent quality, this change left no soap to wash your hands after toileting, and I question the ability to clean the bottles properly. I carry Clorox wipes, so wasn’t an issue for me, but it could be for others. Used the sleep sofa, and was a bit surprised at how worn the pillowcase provided was.

Upon check in we were given a key and told nothing else. The only thing I was told by the guy at check in was the pool was closed and that's only bcause I asked. Signs were everywhere saying masks were required but few guests and none of the staff wore one. The email from the hotel said it would be a grab and go breakfast. My wife went down early for coffee and there's a full buffet breakfast. We showered and went down for some breakfast at 9:20. There was very little of anything left and the staff was putting things away. It would have been nice to know. Our room was clean and comfortable but the poor communication made this stay a flop.

Avoid this place if you can. I was here for 4-nights on a business trip. The saga is below: 1) First room smelled strongly of mildew. Got a new room. No problem. But how do you not know the room reeks of mildew? It was not subtle. Second Room: 2) First day: Old soap still in shower. And, yes, still had short hairs stuck to it. I figured housekeeping missed it. No big deal. I threw it away. 3) Sheets were not put on the bed very well. Fitted sheet kept coming up in the corner as I was laying on the bed. The top blanket was upside down and backward with the tag on the outside and near the pillows. (Not a big deal, right? See below...) After they remade the bed, I realized that, most likely, I was sleeping on someone else's sheets. I'm retired Navy, so.. eh. Whatever. 4) They never once picked up the dirty wash cloth I had on the sink or replaced it with a fresh one, despite being wet and wadded up (as opposed to hanging, like the towel). I sort of make the bed in the mornings by just pulling the sheets flat (retired Navy, remember), but they didn't touch it, freshen it, or do anything in the room except pick up the bath mat and put it back on the side of the tub. 5) 3rd night - I was getting a little hot in the middle of the night, so I got up to take off the comforter. As I peeled back the top blanket, I see a large brown stain on the underside where someone obviously pooped, didn't wipe well, and sat on the bed. I suddenly understood why the top blanket was on upside down and inside out. You absolutely couldn't miss the stain (I saw it in the middle of the night with only very minimal light, remember). It had to have been put back on the bed that way on purpose. (No, I didn't smell it to confirm. Even though I was Navy, there's a limit to my curiosity...) I complained the next morning. They remade the bed and replaced the wash cloth. The way they made the bed (correctly) made me realize that the bed hadn't been made before I got there. Someone had just thrown the sheets back on the bed. Probably after poop-staining them... I checked out the next morning. 6) Get back home and go to file the expense report for work. They over-charged me by a day. I'm on my second day of trying to talk to a manager to fix the over charge. AVOID THIS HOTEL!
