Marvellous experience from making the initial enquiry to checking out. We would like to thank Joan and Dan for making us feel like members of their family. St John House is perfectly placed for shops, restaurants, interstate etc. Our room had views of the St John river. The room was ideal for our needs and equipped with everything a guest... More

Innkeepers Joan & Dan most accommodating & gracious hosts, beautifully maintained property & grounds, tasteful décor, well sized room with everything needed for comfort & enjoyment. Breakfast in the sunroom, two courses served, attractive presentation, morning papers made available. Dinner menus provided for local restaurants.

My wife and I were planning on visiting Jacksonville and had difficulty finding a motel that was close to our destination. I decided to look for a B & B instead and ran across an ad for the St. John's House B & B. It looked very nice on the web site so we decided to book for two nights.... More

Our stay at the St Johns House was a great experience. The house itself is meticulously maintained and decorated with lovely decor and shelves of very interesting books (many are related to Jacksonville and it's history.) The house has two upstairs guest rooms and a private entrance guest room in the back of the house. We stayed in the Governor's... More

This warm and intimate B&B is what the phrase was first coined for...cozy bedrooms and delicious, healthy breakfasts. Stepping into Joan and Dan's home invites you to imagine being part of their family, and the graciousness and helpful advice for accessing the city is so valuable. The location across from the St. John's River is delightful and encourages a walk... More

We stayed overnight here on our way to Tampa. It was a lovely B&B, set in a very pretty, historic neighborhood. We arrived early enough to take a short walk around the block and along the river front. Very nice! The proprietors were delightful and the Christmas decorations definitely put us in the holiday mood. Breakfast the following morning was... More

I'm not writing about a recent trip, though I could! My husband and I have stayed here over 10 times over the years. We're awfully close to Jacksonville, and don't have call to stay overnight much, or we'd have stayed here more! Joan and Dan are delightful people and enjoy sharing their home with guests. Breakfast is always amazing -... More

The owners are very gracious. Beautiful old house. Tasty breakfasts. In a great older neighborhood in Jacksonville.

The owners are very gracious and Kingsley, the dog welcomes everyone. The house was beautifully decorated for Christmas. Flexible times for breakfast were offered. The food was excellent. The room was comfortably furnished with the bath in the room. Coffee and tea were available in the room. You will enjoy your visit.

A true B&B...with owners who actually reside on the premises and actually use the house as their home. Guests are made to feel welcome. Rooms are depicted accurately in photos. We were in the Governor's. Joan was very helpful with dining suggestions...although our Thanksgiving meal at the Chart House was not very good. Breakfasts were good with a flair to... More
