The owner, Ms. Dickert, was gracious, warm, and welcoming. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the homemade french toast was amazing! Walking distance to downtown shops and restaurants. I would recommend this B&B to anyone!

When relocating to Jacksonville, I booked a two month stay in the Dickert House Carriage House. Although inititially unimpressed with the carriage house I was extremely impressed with the host and how accommodating she was. We had French toast and fruit and coffee for breakfast. Owner was not happy that we arrived after 6p.m. We felt more like an inconvenience than welcome guests. Room was OK but it felt more like staying in someone's hastily cleared guest room than in accommodation specifically designed for paying guests. Very traditional decor, not unpleasant but cluttered with furniture, ornaments, etc. Breakfast ham had been pre-cooked, frozen and reheated.... More

My husband and I were thrilled when we contacted the owner of The Dickert House and she agreed to host our Family BBQ and Wedding (she is a notary and also married us).
