My husband and I stayed here for a quick get-away in November. This inn was really centrally located to all the local sights and extremely well run and comfortable. We had a cozy suite - I believe it was called the Vanderbilt? It had a beautiful bedroom and a cozy sitting room with a desk which came in handy as... More

We also regret that you didn't get more time here - but so glad that you want to come back. There is quite a lot to do in the Hudson Valley and we are happy to help our guests plan their stay and share our favorite sites. The Vanderbilt Suite is perfect for guests who need to do some work... More

Thank you to Valerie and Eric for a wonderful 2 night stay this past New Year's Eve. We came to Hype Park to see the local historic attractions, and have a quiet NYE away from home. We enjoyed touring the Vanderbilt and Mills Mansions along with the surrounding towns. Rhinebeck was great to walk through even though many shops were... More

And thank you! If low key and quiet is what you want on New Year's Eve, then the Journey Inn is the place for you. We had a full house of very mellow folks - and it was just wonderful! So happy that you were able to tour the great estates with all their holiday decorations - a very special... More

First off I had not planned on staying here. I found myself in Hyde Park and Rhinebeck looking for a place to stay on this side of the river. I called around and visited two places to see how they were and I settled in on Journey Inn B&B because it was so wonderfully decorated for the holidays and I... More

We were happy to accommodate you as last minute evening arrival and glad that you enjoyed our holiday decorations. Yes - the Kyoto room does have a private bath across the hall - and most people do like the size of that bath. Sorry the stay was not perfect for you. As for the breakfast frittata - it is meant... Innkeepers were so friendly and accommodating. Fresh home-cooked breakfast was delicious. Great location for visiting area attractions: Vanderbilt Mansion, Mills Mansion, FDR Home, Library & Museum. Also a short drive to quaint town of Rhinebeck with cute shops and several great restaurants. Spent a weekend away with a friend in the Roosevelt room which was very comfortable and immaculately clean.... More

And it was wonderful having two friends together enjoying a weekend away! We are so happy that you were able to see so much during your stay with us - especially all the holiday decorations at the mansions and historic sites. We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay, our breakfasts, and our cozy Roosevelt room. We do hope to... More

My fiance and I had the most wonderful three night stay over Halloween weekend. It was the perfect setting for him to propose! Valerie is the most gracious hostess and is well informed about the area and things to do. She strikes the perfect balance of being unobtrusive and engaging to the guests there. The rooms are decorated quite beautifully... More

Proposal!? Engagement?! And you didn't tell us! Sooooooo happy that you got engaged at the Journey Inn and that we offered enough romance to make it special. That Kyoto room is popular for engagements it seems. We cannot wait to have you back so we can properly congratulate you - when's the date!? Thank you for choosing us for this... More

We loved this place. It was really welcoming and felt quite upscale. The rooms were really cute (no tv, radio or phone). We had a twin room and our bathroom, while private, was in the hall. The owner had Lindor truffles in cute little containers throughout and offered homemade cookies during the day as well as a refrigerator with milk... More

And we loved having you. Our Roosevelt room with twin beds is very popular with friends traveling together - and we agree that it is cute. While that room does not have a TV, some rooms do - but we also have a TV in our den and powerful WiFi for those folks who want to stream anything. We like... More

We had a fabulous time in the charming Journey Inn in Hyde Park. The property is beautiful and well-located for Hudson Valley touring. Valerie is a charming and accommodating host - she went to great lengths on special food requirements and served us absolutely delicious breakfasts. The rooms were also very comfortable with lots of thoughtful touches. We just loved... More

My husband and I spent four glorious nights at the Journey Inn in mid October. Our first visit in the area was to the Vanderbilt Mansion, immediately across the street, where we enjoyed the fall colors, the view of the Hudson river and the beautiful mansion. During the next few days we visited the Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum, Val-Kill,... More

And a wonderful time for us too! We are thrilled you got to see so much of the area. So many people try to do too much in one weekend, but if you can take a few days, there is so much to see in the area. And then you get to eat great food! We look forward to seeing... More

Location: in Hyde Park, on large and well-treed grounds, right across from the entrance to the Vanderilt Mansion. It's only 10 minutes into Rhinebeck, which is a pretty and "crafty" town. It's an even shorter ride to the Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum as well as being close to Val-Kill and Top Cottage and for those with a culinary bent,... More

Such a thoughtful review. Thank you! The Sheep and Wool Festival is a crazy time in the area, so we know how important it is that our Inn be a place to relax and get away from the crowds - whether you want to hang out in your room or our common areas. There was a lot of knitting going... More

From the moment Valerie greeted us, we were comfortable and had all our needs met. The breakfasts were outstanding, and Valerie had great dinner recommendations. Our suite was homey and spacious, and the common rooms were lovely.

We so enjoyed having you and your family here. It was so nice sharing recipes and restaurants. We love sending folks to our favorite places to eat - so many great restaurants!
