My husband and I stayed at the Roosevelt Inn for two nights on our recent visit to nearby attractions (FDR museum & library, Val-Kill and the Vanderbilt Mansion). The hotel is impeccably clean and the hospitality was gracious and welcoming. We stayed in a king room on the second floor which was very spacious. The breakfast in the diner was... More

Thank you for your review. We are pleased you enjoyed your stay. As for the signs and decor, as we serve so many people with different habits and aesthetics, it is hard to please everyone 100% of the time. Our main goal, is to strive to provide the basics staples (pleasant, clean, and hospitable environs) that anyone would want in... More

This is the place to stay when visiting Hyde Park. It is family owned and run. The mother and daughter team make you feel welcome. They know the area and can direct you to attractions and restaurants. The rooms are clean.

Thank you for your thoughtful review. March snow, indeed. This Spring has been colder than normal and we are happy we could provide you with a welcoming home base for your visit. We are pleased you enjoyed your stay and your visit to some of our neighboring businesses. Cranberry's and Coppola's are also two staples in our restaurant community that... More

This is an excellent little place which my husband and I have often stayed at. The place is spotlessly clean, it is comfortable and picturesque, the staff and management are friendly, and all in all it's always a pleasant experience to stay with them. We always book the rustic room because we like the pine paneled look - and that... More

My wife and I planned to spend 2 nights in Hyde Park, visiting the Roosevelt and Vanderbilt homesteads. We also did the "Walkway Over The Hudson". We chose chose to stay at the Roosevelt Inn and we are glad that we did. Our room was large, clean and comfortable. We were able to park right in front of our room.... More

The Roosevelt Inn was only 2 miles from the FDR sites. Easy free parking, Probably the strongest shower head I ever enjoyed, the AC/heat worked perfectly, and there was even an air freshener. The coffee shop, for a free breakfast, allows one to live out their fantasies of running a diner (if they had one). We will be back.

What a nice review! I am so glad you enjoyed your stay. The Coffee Shop (i.e. Breakfast room) is a fun spot for guests to gather and share tales (and fantasies?) of their travels. Anyway, thank you for your review and we hope to see you next time! More

We stayed one night in this motel after a late dinner at the Bocuse restaurant at the nearby CIA. Everything was perfect. We had picked the more affordable Rustic full room, and didn't regret it: quaint, cozy, spectacularly clean, the room was very quiet despite being on the ground floor. We felt very comfy and slept soundly. A breakfast is... More

Thank you for your kind review. The coffee shop is our little gem and we have a few posters inside to reflect the founder's heritage (my parents) inside-- from Germany and Finland. Hope to see you your next visit! More

Nice clean motel for a good price. Free Continental breakfast was very good, cereal, muffins donuts, coffee, juice. Perfect for us for breakfast. We booked the suite because there were 5 of us. It gave us plenty of room. It was a good choice for our overnight visit to Culinary Institute for dinner and FDR house, library and museum, Vanderbilt... More

Thanks for the review. We are pleased you enjoyed your stay. The Deluxe Family Suite is one of my favorite rooms as it provides enough room for a good size family to be together. The kids usually really dig the coffee shop as well. We hope to see you the next time you're in Hyde Park! More

We shared a more modest cabin (though hardly inexpensive for November off season) and would stay here again. The room was small, but adequate. There is a very friendly breakfast room where you can find cold cereal, donuts, etc. It is accessible at all hours and guests are welcome to hot chocolate and microwave popcorn. A nice touch. Very clean... More

Thank you for providing a review. We are pleased you enjoyed your stay. As for the rates, without knowing what you are using for comparison it is hard to respond. At the Roosevelt Inn, we try to keep our rates, room interior, and lodging comfort competitive to local franchise accommodations-- and yet still provide little extras and personal service to... This was a clean hotel They have a little breakfast area on the main floor and it seems to be very family oriented. The owners are very nice. We didn't expect it to be as good as it was and will surely return the next time we are visitng there

My friend and I planned a visit to Hyde Park to see the many interesting and historic sights and to try the CIA restaurants. We lucked out by visiting on a perfect Fall weekend and also by staying at the Roosevelt Inn. It was clean, conveniently located and reasonably priced. Even better, the owner was hospitable, the Coffee Shop had... More
