Clean, comfortable rooms and very convenient for the nearby sights. The coffee shop is a lovely touch and was much appreciated. The only thing that has stopped me from giving this place full marks is the number of rules posted everywhere. "Do NOT do this, Do NOT do that" signs everywhere you look do not create a particularly warm atmosphere,... More

Four friends booked two rooms here for 2 nights while visiting the FDR Museum and area attractions. We had two comfortable beds in each room along with a small refrigerator to keep bottled water/soda. The bathroom was small, but clean and our room had another sink and large vanity at the back of the room. We thought maybe before their... More

These older motels are such a reminder of travel days gone by. This one is very clean and lovingly cared for. The café provided all we needed for breakfast, plus beverages when ever we had a notion to get them. The location to Hyde Park destinations is perfect. On a busy summer day, road noise may be a problem.

Thank you for your review. We are glad you had a nice time. As for road noise, fortunately, our property benefits from a good location in that the road going through town may be busy during the day... it is very quiet at night. This is true Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter. As you can see here, we have many... More

I truly enjoyed our stay at this inn. The room was fresh and clean. I liked being able to sleep with an open window - literally, a breath of fresh air compared to most hotels with their canned air and bolted windows. Breakfast was simple and lovely - lots of fresh coffee, orange juice, pastries, cereals, etc. The staff are... More

Average at best, I would stay at one of the local Bed & Breakfast if I as to go back to Hyde Park. Truly like a very old (but clean) motor hotel. The site talks about breakfast but when I came in two older ladies in front of me took five of the six donuts so to say the least... More

Hmm. I guess maybe wifi, flatscreen TVs, over 100 channels of satellite stations, new beds/nightstands/tables/dressers/wardrobes and new light fixtures equals 'very old'. As for breakfast, our breakfasts are pretty well-stocked with a variety of items but you only needed to mention that you didn't get a donut and we could have helped you out. -Karen More

Large clean room, refrigerator and flat screen. The free continental breakfast is an A. The staff and owner are friendly and helpful. It is a pleasant motel experience for a very decent price. ps: cab fare to the C.I.A. is $17.

We chose a rustic room for our 2 night stay at the Roosevelt Inn. It was plain but clean and quiet. Knotty pine paneling on the walls, a mini fridge, free wifi. Nice little place with plenty of parking. The attached cafe offers morning breakfast, and evening popcorn and tea. The staff was friendly and Minna greeted us and hopped... More

Thank you for your kind review. The Rustic rooms are our favorite room style-- they have a lot of personality with the beautiful knotty pine interior and colorful bathroom tiles-- typical of the 50's era. Not everybody's cup of tea, but they are a great budget choice. Just a note--This time of year the temperature in Hyde Park bops back... More

This hotel was conveniently located near several sights that we wanted see. It was near the FDR home and library, the Vanderbilt estate and mansion, the Mills mansion, and the Aerodrome. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Nothing fancy, just clean, convenient, close to Hyde Park attractions and down the road from the Culinary Institute, so you can see all the sights during the day and have a lovely dinner in the evening.
