You probably know a few places along the interstate where motels tend to be reasonable. Grants NM is not one of those. BUT, if you happen to be tenting at night you are in luck. Cibola Sands is quite reasonable, and makes provisions for larger groups at a single rate. (Sorry, singles!) The location is typical. Right near the interstate... More

Like others have said, this campground is nothing special vista-wise. It's all gravel and not very scenic. But it does get the job done. Price for a tent spot was $28 and I had the whole place to myself. They gave me a free cookie (delicious) and brought me a giant slice of apple pie and ice cream even after... More

Blah. Yes the owners are super friendly and yes the dog park is nice, but other than that I don't see much difference between this and the Blue Spruce, other than the price $50 KOA, BS $19.00. And don't be taken in by their breakfast "buffet" consisting of store bought muffins, donuts and weak coffee. If you're self contained and... More

This campground is nothing special – gravel sites, a few trees and a table. But the service at registration including a free cookie is the best we have experienced at any campground. They even stopped by later to make sure that we were hooked up correctly and didn’t have any questions. They offer dinner service, you just order your dinner... More

Very nice people greet you and offer cookies. Gravel tent sites have plenty of room. The bathrooms are far away from tent area but spotless! Home-made dinners can be delivered to your site. Prices include breakfast: coffee, juice, cereals and toast. Absolutely would stay there again.

This was my first KOA experience in years. The actual sites seemed okay at first, but after visiting several KOA campgrounds, by comparison, this is very small. This is because the tent sites have tall wood fence all around. Feels safe, but no view and just gravel. I was excited to start my trip and met a nice couple. One... More

This KOA is a few miles out of town – it is not over large and consists of a mainly gravel site with some grass and a few trees. The toilets and showers are clean, wifi is good when it is working but the connection is a bit patchy. Train noise is very noticeable even though we are further away... More
