We stayed in a room off by ourselves. Room was spacious and clean. We stayed in the same room about 2 years ago. The historical building was closed at the time. They will be tearing down this motel very soon. The breakfast was good and the staff were helpful and friendly. The only negative thing was when the heater kicked... More

My family has been visiting Gettysburg annually for over 15 years and almost every time we have stayed at General Lee's Headquarters. We love the decor of the rooms, the friendliness of the staff, everything about it. When we heard they were closing because they had been bought by the National Park Service, we had mixed emotions. My husband is... More

These folks know how to treat their guest! The staff is very professional and they go above and beyond to make sure you have a memorable stay. It's sad that they are closing! The rooms are perfect! Well appointed, CLEAN! Thanks for making our visit a very happy memory! The breakfast was delicious, with a wide variety of items. Hostess... More

Two of us stayed for two nights, over Halloween and the night of the first. We were in the lower Dustman suite. I would highly recommend paying slightly more for the larger rooms, because the value is incredible. Very clean and comfortable. The upper and lower Dustman suites are separate buildings from the larger parts of the hotel, which felt... More

One night here last weekend while in Gettysburg, our room was very clean and comfortable. Nice breakfast Sunday morning, parking right outside our room. This hotel is closing the end of this year as the land was sold to the historical foundation. Get there while you can, rates are very reasonable. And the restaurant next door was good as well!

I really liked that thrre was a restaurant on site, as we arrived a little later than expected, were tired and just wanted to relax after a long ride. Breakfast was good. I had adked... More

Well this is our last visit to this wonderful motel. My wife and I figured we have stayed there over 40 times over 15 years. We are going to miss it. Especially our "family" the staff. Always professional and friendly and courteous. We will surely miss them all.

We stayed for one night with two children. The staff was helpful and the rooms were clean and quiet. The boys enjoyed the museum on site, and breakfast was good in the morning. Good location, enjoyed our stay.

We were lucky enough to book and enjoy several nights at General Lee's Headquarters before it closes at the end of this year. It will be hard for history buffs, especially, to find a comparable location when it's gone! This hotel offers charming accommodations right on the battlefield. Rooms and grounds are clean, staff friendly, and breakfast better than average.... More

This hotel is on the battlefield. You can view a lot of the battlefield from the hotel and it is beautiful. You can put yourself back in time and imagine the sadness and devastation of the civil war where Americans fought to keep our country together. We are very disappointed that it will close and be demolished at the end... More
