When each child, {niece, nephew, grandchild} in my family turns seven I take them on a US history trip which includes Baltimore, DC, the Amish country and of course Gettysburg. My favorite place to stay is the Quality Inn @ General Lee's Headquarters. It is small, very well maintained and right on the battlefield. They have always supplied a very... More

Comfortable inn, with in house ccomplimentary coffee. Within walking distance of the seminary, and even down town. Shops along the way. Not far from one of the battlefield's entrances. Quaint and comfy/

-How about lodging and dining within eyesight of the commanding general of the Army of Northern Virgina headquarters and site of his command tent. Long after the battlefield park is close for the day - one can seat outside - see some of the battlefield - observe General Lee's Headquarters and reflect on what he may have been thinking-

I booked a room using the national website for the hotel chain that this property is affiliated with. Using the website, I requested a room for five people, and the website offered a room at this hotel, which I successfully booked (with my confirmation page showing a reservation for 5 people). Weeks later, when I called the hotel with a... More

We enjoyed our weekend stay in Gettysburg, last summer, having stayed at the Quality Inn at General Lee's Headquarters. The room was clean and well-appointed, and the staff was friendly. The facility has a small pool, which we didn't use. We toured Lee's HQ, which is just adjacent, and was very interesting. I would recommend this facility.

I have stayed here several times--so sad to see it go! Where else could you sit at your breakfast table and look out over the battlefield. You couldn't find a more friendly staff and the rooms were always super clean. Liked the numbered parking in front of guest room door. I was last here in cold November 2014--took advantage of... Lee's Headquarters is located right in the center of what was the first day of the Battle of Gettysburg - July 1st, 1863. The Lutheran Seminary is visible just across the road. Whenever I visit Gettysburg, I try to stay here if there are vacancies. There is a museum attached to the hotel; there are no shortage of those in... More

We stayed on the evening of December 29th, one of the last nights before the inn was closed (the 31st was the last night for guests.) Staff was top notch and we certainly got our fill of the free hot cocoa in the reception area. We had a few issues. For instance, the door didn't latch properly and the carpets... More

Contrary to another review, the buildings have yet to be torn down. How do I know this? We stayed there last night. It's last night in operation. We among a number of others were the last guests to stay at this incredible establishment, on New Years Eve. My wife and I stayed here numerous times in the last fifteen years.... More

This hotel was bought up and torn down. It was part of the 1st days battle and was bought to put the land back the way it was in 1863. The Appilachian Brewing Company was torn down to it was a nice hotel to stay in, but it no longer is there or it will be removed by 2015
