5 story hotel between downtown Gettysburg and battlefield visitors center. Elevators pretty fast. Exterior but covered room access. Single room bath. Bed was OK. Computer in lobby very slow. No free breakfast to speak of but restaurant in hotel. Many large civil war paintings in restaurant area. Nice view of town from top floor. more

My wife, daughter and I stayed here while visiting another daughter who lives in Gettysburg. We also brought our dog as this inn accepts pets which is a great savings over boarding at a kennel. The property is well maintained with a very friendly staff. Prices are reasonable and although we only ate breakfast in the resturant is was very... more

We had reservations here well in advance and didn't know it until our arrival, but this is no longer a Holiday Inn, so if you plan on getting or using points for your stay, you're going to be disappointed. The hotel has outside rooms, which kinda surprised us. The rooms themselves are spacious and clean, the bathrooms are as well.... more

My husband and I were traveling for the first time with our dog. This location takes pets for a small fee and we were thrilled with the location. I definitely recommend this place if you have pets. It is very close to the Battlefield, which makes it a convenient place to stay for touring. Even better, it is within in... more

My husband & I spent a long weekend in December and enjoyed our stay. From the moment we entered the lobby, warmly welcoming & decorated for Christmas, we were met with friendly helpful people. We splurged for a room with a jacuzzi and were not disappointed. The hotel was in walking distance of shopping and historic homes and ghost tours... more

Four of us spent two nights at Holiday Inn Battlefield for the NewYear's holday. We couldn't ask more for the value. $66.00 a night, and location. Though an older facility it is quite evident the hotel had been recently renovated. Staff were friendly and polite. A free and adequate continential breakfest was provided NewYear's day given hotel's restaurant was closed... more

The staff went out of their way to be very friendly and helpful. From the cleaning lady who helped me at the elevator to Carol who works in the restaurant. Our room was very clean and housekeeping did an excellent job. The location was within walking distance of many attractions and next door to the Jenny Wade house. We really... more

We picked Holiday Inn because of the location and because of the reputation of Holiday Inns. The room was comfortable, and very clean. Nothing fancy, but nice. We checked in on a Sunday so there was no dinner served, which was fine since the location is close to many places to eat and shop. We were really put off by... more

first off i want to start by saying this hotel is in amazing location. just a few footsteps away from the jennie wade house. check in was a breeze with a very courteous and proffesional staff. the room we chose was on the first floor right next to an indoor swimming pool that was closed for the season. the room... more

We stayed at Holiday Inn Gettysburg (Battlefield) for one night in September 2008. Check-in was quick ad easy. We stayed in Room 438, which was a quiet room at the back of the hotel. It had quite small windows and was a bit dark but, as we were only there for one night, we were not too bothered. The room... more
