Todd was a gracious host. Made sure we had everything we needed to be comfortable during our stay. The back yard is perfect and a great place to enjoy the views of the battlefield. Breakfast was delicious! We are sorry we didn't meet Christine. Enjoyed having Molly around. Thanks for a great stay!

I'd actually stayed at the Doubleday Inn many years previous under different ownership, and found it satisfactory. Now having stayed with Todd & Christine in recent years, it's amazing how all the renovations and their personal touches have elevated the property to excellence. There is no question that if you are a serious student of the battle or a couple... More

My daughter and I stayed here on our latest trip to Gettysburg.. The hosts Todd and Christine and of course their dog Molly couldn't have been more welcoming and accommodating.. We stayed in the attic room and Todd was kind enough to carry my suitcase up the stairs ( Thank you Todd).. He was so full of info. about the... More

We have visited twice and cannot wait to go back! Christine, Todd, and Molly offer an exceptional respite with amazing views. The Doubleday Inn is rich in history itself, in an amazing location right on the battlefield and minutes from downtown. Even though you are right on the battlefield you never feel like there is too much traffic nor too... More

On our recent American Civil War tour we were delighted to stay at the Doubleday Inn which is right on the Gettysburg battle site. It was an amazing experience lying in bed and being able to look at the battle site in both directions. Wow! Unfortunately we did not meet Christine, but Todd was a gracious host, keen to ensure... I stayed 2 nights and 3 days here in this delightful B&B in Gettysburg. I love Gettysburg, and staying on the battlefield certainly added to the ambiance. The setting is quiet and peaceful within surrounding trees. The Iverson room was cozy, warm, inviting, spacious, and clean. It seems as though it's the room with the best view :) I had... More

My girlfriend and I have stayed here twice, both times in October or 2012 and 2013. If you want to stay at a place that is relevant to the history of Gettysburg, this is the place. It only enhances your experience, as it is right on the battlefield and in a quiet, peaceful country setting. The owners, Todd, Christine, and... More

We just visited the Doubleday in Gettysburg and it was absolutely wonderful! Christine and Todd, the owners, were so friendly and helpful. Our room was large and comfortable. Our meals were so tasty, and the anytime coffee, tea, etc., was a special treat. It was like being home. No doubt we will stay there again!

My husband and I stayed here for a themed weekend. It was called "it's a Ghost town out there". We arrived on Friday to a warm welcome from Todd. We stayed in the Robert E. Lee room which is on the first floor. It was a large comfortable room with a good sized bathroom. Built in bookcases contained a variety... More
