This was our first experience staying at a B&B. We were apprehensive, but when we arrived Todd and Christine made us feel right at home like family. The rooms were spacious and beds were very comfortable (we stayed in the Bell-Jefferson) and all had beautiful views of the battlefield and surrounding area. The breakfast each morning was absolutely delicious and... More

Stayed at this charming inn about a month ago. The room was lovely (we stayed in the Sally room), comfortable bed, very cozy. The breakfast was spectacular and our host were so gracious. Todd gave us an awesome history lesson during breakfast. I would highly recommend the Doubleday Inn and hope to stay here again.

My wife and I were apprehensive about staying at a B&B, but as soon as we entered the Inn and met the owner those apprehensions vanished. Spotless interior, great grounds, and quiet surroundings made this Inn perfect for a weekend getaway. Breakfast was amazing and the attentiveness of Todd and Christine to us and the other guests was top shelf.... More

The breakfast was delicious. The hosts were helpful and knowledgeable. CDs provided for auto tour were very helpful and much appreciated. The location is convenient and picturesque. Only suggestion would be softer pillows.

This is the first bad review I've ever written. It is not written in anger but, as a traveler, I feel it is my responsibility to comment on either very good or very bad experiences. I left Philadelphia on a road trip with my wife and daughter on Monday, June 2, 2015. We made a last minute decision to visit... More

Spent 3 days with Todd and Christine - right on the battlefield. Room (R.E. Lee room) was spacious and comfortable. Bathroom was very small. Other rooms have larger bathrooms (some HUGE) but we chose this room for the ambiance. Delicious breakfast every morning, and always different. Owners are friendly and knowledgeable. Location is AMAZING. Easy to get into town for... More

We chose this Inn because of its location slightly out of town where we were to meet our battlefield guide which started right outside the door. We are glad we chose a small place rather than a larger hotel - it seemed to fit the nature of the town. The building itself is charming and comfortable. The bedroom wasn't big... More

We stayed at the Doubleday Inn with three other couples for three nights. It was sensational. The innkeepers are attentive and full of information about the area. We really appreciated hearing about their Golden Retriever Molly. It's right on the battlefield, right in the midst of where the first day's battle occurred. We couldn't have been more pleased. The innkeepers... More

This was my first stay at The Doubleday Inn, but I can guarantee it will not be my last. I travel extensively for work and due to a conflicting schedule and late flights I arrived around 4PM and was greeted by the male owner of the Inn. He was very nice and welcoming. The room was perfect for what I... More

Upon booking the Doubleday Inn I was planning a romantic getaway the my fiance and I could enjoy a relaxing weekend and take in the history of the area. Todd and Christine made it real like we were visiting old friends. The Inn was warm and inviting, the room was comfortable and spacious, and an amazing breakfast was prepared by... More
