I stayed 2 nights and 3 days here in this delightful B&B in Gettysburg. I love Gettysburg, and staying on the battlefield certainly added to the ambiance. The setting is quiet and peaceful within surrounding trees. The Iverson room was cozy, warm, inviting, spacious, and clean. It seems as though it's the room with the best view :) I had... More

My girlfriend and I have stayed here twice, both times in October or 2012 and 2013. If you want to stay at a place that is relevant to the history of Gettysburg, this is the place. It only enhances your experience, as it is right on the battlefield and in a quiet, peaceful country setting. The owners, Todd, Christine, and... More

We just visited the Doubleday in Gettysburg and it was absolutely wonderful! Christine and Todd, the owners, were so friendly and helpful. Our room was large and comfortable. Our meals were so tasty, and the anytime coffee, tea, etc., was a special treat. It was like being home. No doubt we will stay there again!

My husband and I stayed here for a themed weekend. It was called "it's a Ghost town out there". We arrived on Friday to a warm welcome from Todd. We stayed in the Robert E. Lee room which is on the first floor. It was a large comfortable room with a good sized bathroom. Built in bookcases contained a variety... More

I loved this B&B, and would stay here again....you should give it a try! I'd injured my knee just a few days before arriving and remembered (the day we were suppose to arrive) that I'd requested an upstairs room. We called the owners and they were more than gracious about moving me to a downstairs room...they even helped my sister... More

This was a return stay at The Doubleday Inn. I love this B&B. The location is amazing as you are actually in the national park. Views from the windows are gorgeous. The innkeepers truly make the stay special. They are hospitable, yet unobtrusive, friendly, yet professional. The breakfasts are always delicious with items such as freshly baked muffins or French... My husband and I have stayed at the Doubleday for the last five years and we have never been treated rudely or had any issues. There are names of generals on each room door-why did the folks not checking in in the post before check to see that? We also arrive late but get a note from the innkeepers on... More

We were astonished by how unwelcome we felt here and the seeming lack of graciousness exhibited by the InnKeepers. We arrived at 6:45 after working all day and driving 3 hours to find that the InnKeepers were not available (they leave at 5 PM every day). Our 83 year old parents had already arrived and were told by the InnKeepers... More

My partner and I drove from Toronto and knew that we were going to arrive late so I shot the Inn owners a quick email letting them know we were gunna arrive late and they were fantastic about it. The fireflies lit up the battlefield at night and inside they had cookies and tea waiting. The owners are extremely knowledgable... More

The Doubleday Inn is the best stay in Gettysburg. We've been there for three visits now, and always find it impressive. Right on the battlefield but away from the noise and tourists traps of the village, its an ideal base to spend a few days learning about this essential part of American history.
