This was our first roadtrip with toddlers. My family traveled with kids 12,11,2 and 15 months. So believe me it was trying at times. The innkeepers are wonderful and the breakfast is fabulous. My 15 month old really enjoyed this custard with oranges in it. They leave fresh baked cookies and lemonade out daily. The house and grounds are lovely,... More

Love Love Love..Amazing stay! We stayed awhile back and cant wait to return! We instantly felt welcome our room was amazing and so comfortable and breakfast was great. Loved the history we learned and the property is great with the barn and animals. This place is nothing like any other B&B around. So much space and tucked away from it all... More

We stayed here for a romantic weekend ge-taway - a sort of late winter pick-me-up. After much searching for a room in the region with both a 2-person jacuzzi AND a fireplace of some kind, we booked here. While we originally wanted the Tack Room, they were having trouble with the jacuzzi there and offered us the Swan Cottage. I... More

Battlefield B and B was a very cool place to stay. It was used as an HQ by a number of Union Generals during the battle and we found it to be well appointed, clean, in very close proximity to the National Monument, dog friendly, and offers a great breakfast spread as well. Definitely worth it, unless you need 1000... More

I am glad that you enjoyed the morning history presentation. We are very proud of the favorable reviews our history presenters receive from our guests, especially the presentation with Mike Chambers (the Union soldier). I hope to see you on your future trips to Gettysburg. More

We stayed in the Tack Room for Valentine's weekend during our first (of many, we hope) stay at Battlefield B&B. The room is marvelous! It is spacious, which really came in handy as we had a -20 degree windchill all weekend and stayed indoors most of the time. It was immaculate, friendly, and had an extremely comfortable bed. My partner... More

Staying in Gettysburg during extremely cold weather can be a challenge for travelers with so many historical activities being outdoors. I am pleased to hear that you, your partner, and your dog enjoyed the amenities of the Tack Room as well as the farm house. I can assure you that during the warmer weather our property as well as the... More

My husband, dog, and I spent the weekend of Valentine's Day and my birthday here. I chose this bed and breakfast after reading up on the history of it, I loved that they offered rooms you could stay in that were part of the original 1809 farmhouse. I also loved that they had room with fireplaces. It being the middle... More

We stayed in Graham's Artillery (or Battery as indicated on the door of the room) which is on the first floor in the 1809 house. Not a large room but cozy with a gas fireplace, comfortable queen bed and private bath with standard tub/shower combination. This room was the original parlor of the house complete with original ceiling beams and... More

We stayed for the long MLK weekend and enjoyed our stay immensely. They are not kidding when they say dog-friendly! Our husky Issola had the run of the place, playing on the lawn and hanging out with us in the cozy parlor. The breakfasts were delicious, the bed was very comfortable, and we had a great time. Look forward to... More

We have stayed at the Battlefield Bed and Breakfast on numerous occasions now, but this was our first time staying at Swan Cottage. It is a separate property at the entrance to the road leading up to the bed and breakfast. My husband and I, along with our two teenage daughters, stayed in the cottage for New Year's Eve. It... We stayed here because they allow dogs and and had a great experience. We stayed in the Tack room, which is separate from the house and even nicer than the pictures show. The bathroom was incredible! The breakfasts were great. We got a free historical lecture in the a.m. before breakfast. The B & B is very close to the... More

I am glad you enjoyed your stay in the Tack Room. You are correct, Swan Cottage is removed from the immediate area of the farm house and barn. Most guests use their vehicles to commute between the farm house and the cottage, especially in the winter. I hope you and your dog stay with us again! More
