We stayed here for three nights and it was more than adequate. Our only two problems were that it was a weekend during which a motorcycle club was in town so we constantly heard the rumbles of bikes going by (since it is so close to town) and the shower in the downstairs bathroom has an exterior door that actually... My husband and I spent a week in Gettysburg for our honeymoon June 2012. We wanted to stay somewhere where we could feel like we were a part of the city. Everything is within walking distance, as other reviews have stated. We ate our fill everyday with no regrets due to this! The Cricket house was homey, cute, and very... More

We spent two nights at the Cricket House. The cottage is clean, the linens are like home. We spent our evenings relaxing in the garden setting. Everything is within walking distance (except the the farther battle fields) We walked to dinner, shops, the Farmers Market, coffee shop. Deb recommended good places and we found others. The Cricket House is a... More

We stayed at the Cricket House last week and had a great time. The house is one of the best places we have stayed, and the backyard is fabulous and peaceful whether it is in the morning with a cup of coffee or late at night while the crickets are doing their thing. I didn't know why it was called... More

What a fantastic location. Walk to everything in town. Peaceful garden, whimsical baths. Great for a family or 2 couples. Debi adds great touches to meet all needs. Beds and linens were very nice. Was great to come back to after exploring the sites.

What a lovely environment and loving energy. Debi is a marvelous hostess...very caring, kind and humurous. We had a great time in the carriage house and the garden is exquisite...a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the beauty of nature.Everything there feels clean and fresh and we had a wonderful sleep after taking a luxurious whirlpool bath. We can't wait... More

Took my wife and son for a weekend getaway in Gettysburg and we loved our stay. Perfect spot just outside of the center of town, close to restaurants and historic sites. Beautiful house and backyard area. Highly recommend theCricket House

You could stay in any of the numerous hotels or motels around Gettysburg, but if you want to get a real feel for the town and it's history I couldn't think of a better place to stay than the Cricket House! It's a beautiful and charming cottage with amazing amenities and Debi, the owner and hostess, is the best. When... More

You couldn't ask for a better location or nicer host. The Cricket House is less than 50 yards from the battlefield trail and a quick walk to the square. The owner is one of the nicest people I've met and will do anything to make your stay relaxing and enjoyable. The house is clean and nicely furnished with one of... More
