The rv sites are gravel and grass, are large with full hookups. The rate is $60 a night but I got the site for $30 because I have Passport America. The campground has a pool and horse back riding tours of the battlefield for $89 dollars.

We did tent camping at Artillery Ridge and had a good time. We had no issues with the staff, and registration was painless and fast. The location of this campsite is a clear advantage if you are planning to spend most of your time on the battlefield. Yeah the bathroom facilities are no longer sparkly-new despite the sign that says... More

We really enjoyed our stay at Artillery Ridge. The large pastures in the middle of the campground divide it into two separate places. The main campground has all of the amenities - pool, horseshoes, pavilion, etc. It seemed to have both pull-through and back-in sites in a nicely wooded setting, and big open areas for tent camping. We were in... More

Nice campground, pretty clean, hot water in the showers (hallelujah! after riding all day we needed it!), rented stalls were nice sized. We rode our own horses and the Campground owner acted as a horseback guide for us, he definitely knew the history and it was awesome to listen to him tell it.

You can ride right onto the battlefield. The facilities were clean, the campground is quiet, accommodations for your horses are varied and all excellent. I also took a day trip and rode the battlefield at Antietam which was only about an hour away.

Stayed here with a group of 30 men for our annual church men's retreat. Camping was fun and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Horse ride tour was a very nice casual one hour ride. Staff on ride was awesome and very knowledgeable. Accommodations for our meals and group sessions was great. Very close to all battleground attractions. Can't... More

Very nice campground, you can walk to the battlefield. Have been here twice, both times were great during the early spring. Walked into town and to all areas of the Battlefields, second trip we took a horseback tour, very nice. Staff is friendly and helpful. Sites could be a little more level. Bathrooms seemed to be taken care of, but... More

They were very helpful with my Niece who was afraid of horses. They talked her through everything without making her feel different from the other riders. And its a great way to see the battlefield. We only took the 1 hour tour. Next time I'd like to see more. And making reservations was easy.

We have stayed at Artillery Ridge since 2009 and have NEVER had a bad site or experience. We highly recommend you stay here. The National Riding Stables is a hidden Gem for this campground. We took a tour of the battlefield from this stable. Had an Fantastic stay capped off by the one hour ride on the battlefield. Again HIGHLY... More
