Welcoming historic B&B that we love visiting in Getysburg, PA. Always made to feel at home, delicious breakfasts, stories about the Civil War and maybe even a spirit or two! Also, very convenient to historical Gettysburg, museums, battlefields, shopping outlets and great eateries. Love it and am planning a girls weekend getaway and paranormal experience!

A last minute trip and we decided to go with the Lightner Farmhouse. Beautiful setting and great Innkeepers Eileen and Dennis were great. However after returning to our room after the New Year's Eve celebration the couple above us apparently having never stayed at a B&B and had no regard for others. Now I understand that it is and can... More

Once again we apologize and ask you to take us up on our offer for a complimentary stay. The guest in the room above was ill during the night and the disturbance although a rarity was indeed troubling. It is our goal to give every guest a peaceful night. More

The innkeepers are very helpful and pleasant. The inn itself is historical and the surroundings and grounds are great. I liked the fact that it was slightly out of town but still close to town and the battlefield. We enjoyed our breakfasts. We will be back,

We enjoyed our stay at this clean, comfortable, B and B. The owners were very helpful with restaurant suggestions, and the breakfast was hearty and tasty. Our room was on the first floor with its own entrance, which was convenient for handling luggage. Other guests' voices were audible through the walls but it was quiet and restful during the night.... This was our first time staying at a bed and breakfast. It was a fantastic experience, down to every little detail. We had a great time walking the nature trails and relaxing on the porch sipping on some coffee. It's close to all the major attractions but far enough away to feel nicely secluded. Any trip to Gettysburg in our... More

Perfect setting for our Gettysburg weekend. Rooms were cozy and very comfortable. Complimentary speaker in period dress was very informative of the impact the war had on private citizens. The Lightner Farmhouse was used as a hospital during the war so our stay was even more meaningful. Wonderful hospitality by the innkeepers, Eileen and Dennis. Jason's breakfasts were fresh and... My husband and I recently stayed at the Lightner House Inn and we would not stay anywhere else. It is immaculate, the owners are so helpful and warm, they make you feel like family. They have created a wonderful place for people to stay. We loved the location. Not right downtown where the congestion and hustle and bustle is but... More

Spent three nights in the Walnut Cottage on Halloween weekend. The Innkeepers (Dennis & Eileen) were very welcoming and informative on the history of the house and area. Their son, Jason, prepared a wonderful breakfast every morning and fresh delicious cookies placed in the room every afternoon! Did some ghost hunting on the battlefield and on the property, and despite... More

We stayed at this lovely Inn for 3 nights in early Oct 2015. We enjoyed the location, the peaceful quiet setting and the hospitality of the owners. Our room - The Walnut- was nicely furnished and with a feeling of respect for the history of the home. The breakfast was tasteful and Josh- the chef- added to the hospitality of... More

We stayed one night at the Lightner Farmhouse on way to Washington DC. We were greeted warmly by Eileen and Dennis, who made us feel right at home. The property was beautiful and the room comfortable. We enjoyed meeting the other guests and chatting with them. Breakfast was delicious and filling. Our only regret was that we only stayed one...
