Great atmosphere! We were looking for a place with the Civil War atmosphere, and this is it! However, the waiter was new and made many mistakes. Food was just ok, nothing spectacular. And, we both got food poisioning that night. :(

It's been a while since our stay at the Farnsworth B&B, but I know things haven't changed. We actually stayed twice and things were the same both times. Checking in at the book store was very impersonal and the people working seemed rude. After going to our room we noticed there was alot of traffic noise from cars going by.... More

Hello I have stayed @ the Farnsworth House numerous times over the years, and for the most part it was always great! Granted there were a few times service was rude and the food not up to par. But a few people over the years have kept me coming back! The mourning theatre is awesome, i didnt care much for... More

We stayed there awhile ago, I didn't realize I had overlooked writing a review! To begin, the room was (is still, I presume) very lovely. The check in process was impersonal and left us feeling uncomfortable. The bathroom area has no door, rather a fabric screen which neither my husband nor myself expected, nor loved. The shower water never got... More

My boyfriend and i stayed at the farnsworth house in in April last year. We enjoyed it a great deal and would love to go back there soon. We found the staff to be very helpful and friendly. When calling to find out some information before we booked i found the lady i was talking to then, a little on... More

My boyfriend and I just returned from our trip, not only was the room beautiful (we stayed in Sarah Black) but the house its self was very charming. Since we were there during the off season for gettysburg we were the only people staying in the house itself. And after the dining room closed down stairs for the evening we... More

My husband and I stayed here in October and we found it to be very disappointing. We had the Eseinhower room, which was a tiny place with a terribly uncomfortable mattress. Our bathroom was ridiculous....it had no door on it, only thin and flimsy curtains which would draw together for privacy, but hung a foot above the floor! There was... More

We stayed at the Farnsworth House Inn for 2 days in October. This was our 6th time in Gettysburg, 1st time at this B&B. We stayed in the Longstreet Room which is not in the main house. The room was nicely decorated although a bit dark. There is one small window that lets in some light, however it faces the... More

Having never stayed in a B& B before my husband and myself were very excited about our weekend at the historical Farnsworth Inn. We were really excited about staying where there would be so much interaction with the Inn keepers, ( we thought) . When we arrived at the bookstore to check in the women working in the bookstore was... More

My husband and I stayed in the Jenny Wade Room for 2 nights as the last part of a week's vacation. The room was very nice and convenient to everything in Gettysburg. The meals at the Farnsworth were very good as well, especially outside at the cafe area. The only thing that we may suggest is to try and get... More
