We had dinner one night and then stay here another night. The dinner entre was quite good (some kind of game pie) but the apple sauce was a disappointment - seemed to be from a can or jar. Everything else seem authentic and was very good. The rooms are beautifully and eccentrically decorated, very "Civil War chic". My room was... More

We were told we HAD to come. It was awesome food. Don't know about that. We're 15 into a 630 reservation and the woman who is the person seating everyone is slow as molasses and its ridiculous and sad. Next time eat somewhere else.

Let me say, everyone was seriously SUPER friendly. They make you feel very welcome. The rooms are small, but nice. They actually gave us a choice even though we literally called hours before showing up. We had the Jeremy room which was supposed to be pretty active usually for paranormal activity. But sadly, we had none. The bed was comfortable... More

We decided to spend our last night in Gettysburg at the Farnsworth. Although I tried to do as much research as I could on the accommodations, I will know next time where the best rooms are. We stayed in the Jennie Wade room, which I didn't know at the time was not in the main brick house, it is by... More

We spent two nights at the Farnsworth House and the best thing I can say about the stay is that it's over!! Our room was disgusting!! When I look up in a corner and see cobwebs and dust on light fixtures I know that surfaces may be clean where you can see them but it's the other areas you can't... More

This is not only a quaint bed and breakfast, which we wish we had stayed at, it is also a wonderful restaurant and beer garden! We ate dinner at this wonderful, historic property and had not only amazing "period" foods, but a lovely server with an amazing sense of humor! Stella was a delight and made our dinner all the... This was our first stay at a bed and breakfast. We were very pleased. We stayed in the Jeremy room which was small but comfortable. Having two doors lead into the room was a bit odd but it wasn't an issue. Kayla was very friendly at breakfast and we enjoyed our food options. I left stuffed every morning. We tried... More

Overall the staff at the Inn were fantastic and helpful, we had breakfast and dinner at the Inn also and was completely satisfied with the meals and service. The rooms were comfortable but unfortuntely the bathrooms are outdated ( circa 70' / 80's ) We also wish there wasn't so much noise driving by the Inn , between dump trucks,school... More

I just spent the night here this past summer, Aug, 2014. I was treated extremely well. Everyone treats their guests as if they were family. It was very comfortable. I was even scolded, well sort of, in a motherly way by a great lady as I checked in, for not having dinner! I was in a hurry to be part... More

Just returned home from our Gettysburg trip. We had an excellent stay at the Farnsworth House. It was quiet this time as far as ghosts are concerned- a few little things but not like other times we've been there. But ghost experiences don't always happen the same way. Either way, the service was excellent and we could have done our... More

Thank you very much for your wonderful review. I would have to agree with you about negative reviews. We can not be all things to all people and therefore we do not try to be. We simply try to give each guest a memorable and positive experience. You mentioned several of our staff members in your review and I am... More
