The worst over ever been treated with bringing groups to Gettysburg. Constant sales staff turn over and not one of them knowing what the other had said. You'd think a contract would count but it doesn't. If you book with them good luck. Hope it goes better for you.

What's all the buzz about? The ghost I guess. On a recent trip to Gettysburg we decided to have lunch at the Farnsworth House, and what a mistake!. After being seated it took 10 min. For out waitress to take our drink order. And why is it always "we are short a person today". Well to get to the point... More

The Farnsworth House is a true gem. It is steeped in history that you will want to unfold during your visit. Because of it's proximity to the Civil War battle, ghost fans will also love this place. The current owners have worked hard to maintain a period look and ambience and have done this successfully. All the rooms are different... More

Check-in was a breeze. We arrived two hours early and luckily our room was ready and we were allowed to check-in. Stayed in the Shultz room which is in back of original house. Had read in the little notebook in the room about the guy whose shirt went missing, but nothing happened while we were there. It was very cozy... More

First time in Gettysburg and had a wonderful stay at the Farnsworth House. I wanted a haunted experience, however the spirits were quiet the weekend I was there. My friends had an experience of hearing voices and was missing a shirt they laid out on the bed (gone), never found, waiting to see if it shows up sometime soon. The... More

My husband and I spent 2 nights in the Custer Room while visiting Gettysburg. My husband suggested staying there as he had previously visited Gettysburg as a child and wanted to stay at the Farnsworth because of it's history. The room was very cozy and the bed was comfortable. We ate at Sweeney's Tavern which is on property and the... More

We actually didn't get to try the food because the restaurant had no record of our reservation. It was a busy Saturday night and they simply could not seat us. That is disappointing but understandable. It is, however, unforgivable to be called a liar by the manager who refused to believe we had actually made reservations.

My wife and I went on a ghost tour a few years ago. Ever since she wanted to spend the night, so we finally did. At the ghost tour something's happens but all reasonable explainable. When we spend the night nothing happens, an uneventful unscary night. The breakfast was good. Another couple had a picture of a mirror in the... More

i went and took a tour of this house and ate in the outdoor garden a couple of times. Food is fantastic, especially the spoon pudding! The whole place is great, but if your gonna spend a night its a whole different story. It was an extremely stuffy room and we were sweating to death.Had to hold the windows open wiht... More

We stayed at the Farnsworth House for our one year anniversary. When we arrived our room was not ready. It was two hours after check in time. We traveled 4 hours by car to get there and I was 6 months pregnant. When we did finally get into our room, the Lincoln room, the shower did not work. My husband... More
