We were pleasantly surprised with our experience at the Farnsworth house inn's restaurant. Expecting less than a quality experience, we were taken by the Inns hospitality, courteous treatment and timely service. Although we made reservations during prime dinnertime, the inn staff was courteous and seated us right away. We had an excellent dinner with the inn’s wonderful choices of entrees,... more

After a lovely visit of the battlefield, my daughter and I chose the Farnsworth House for dinner because of the lovely garden dining. Two menus were displayed out front and at the entrance, but the hostess was quick to point out that the outside dining would be limited to the dining room menu (despite the picnic table/plastic chair decor). We... more

My husband and I would come up to Gettysburg two or three times a year from Maryland and when we first came up The Farnsworth was the first place we came to for appetizers and a drink. We just fell in love with the place. It really has a wonderful for ambiance for the civil war era. Now when we... more

After reading so many bad reviews, I was really afraid of staying here. They reviews appeared to be wrong. We were met by friendly staff. The room, McFarland, was clean and loaded with lots of interesting things. The air conditioning worked, the TV was fine and the bathroom was different with a claw foot tub and pull flush toliet. It... more

My daugher and I stayed at the Farnsworth Innfor 2 nights - Jjune 14th and 15th. I had many misgivings about staying there with all the poor reviews and didnt know what to expect. We were pleasently surprised and our stay was great. The staff was nice, good parking arrangement, breakfast food good and over all no major complaints. We... more

Awesome-- We were there for the haunted stories and to experience the history. The staff were all friendly and helpful, and the property was springtime beautiful. We sat outside, had dinner, and met a lot of new people. We stayed in the Eisenhower room. Nice historical room. The only weird thing was there was no bathroom door and it was... more

We come to Gettysburg several times each year and would never stay anywhere else. The owners and staff are wonderful. The food is the best. And we have had many paranormal experiences. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. The rooms are beautiful and very period. Coming to Farnsworth house is like coming home. We love it. more

The location is awesome, the grounds, breathtaking. Too bad the room was grubby and the service awful. I do not like to hear employees arguing and gossiping while we were waiting forever to be waited on in the tavern. Breakfast was a frozen waffle & other assorted things like cereal & yogurt. Disappointing to say the least. My hubby is... more

First off I want to say that we went to Gettysburg because of the haunted stories. We wanted to see for ourselves. My husband thinks this review should be called true skeptic to believer but I dont want to talk about ghosts just yet. I want to review this B&B because I believe it has gotten a bad rap on... more

I am a history buff and have wanted to say in the Farnsworth for years. My husband took me there as a surprise. I was so excited, but the stay was rather disappointing. I really think they are taking advantage of people wanting to see ghosts so they know they can get away with over-charging and bad service/accommodations. We stayed... more
