I thought the Farnsworth House Inn was beautiful! There were no bugs at all. The place was very clean. We only ate breakfast there, but it was wonderful food. I'll have to admit was concerned about staying there after reading all of these bad reviews, but i'm glad we chose to ignore them because we had a wonderful time! The... more

You will have a greater chance of encountering paranormal activity than you will of finding a clean room, friendly customer service, edible (or hot) food, good night's sleep or great value... more

If you ever intend to actually enjoy the B&B side of the Farnsworth dont go until they get new management. Since they can pull people because of all the paranormal activity they more than half step on customer service/hospitality. The rooms are DIRTY, pillows smelled like mold, dust on the base boards and trim, rugs were dusty/dirty. The breakfast was... more

This place doesn't deserve to tout the label 'bed & breakfast', which one usually expects to maintain a certain level of cleanliness and customer service. The ill-mannered curmudgeon of a proprietor is clearly riding on the coat tails of the Farnsworth name. The place is filthy and breakfast consists of a luke warm frozen waffle with lousy coffee. more

As a lover of all things paranormal, when I saw that this inn boasted paranormal activity I was sold on spending the night. However, after reading the previous reviews on the accommodations and service, I had my reservations. To my dismay, my stay at the inn fell terribly short of my expectations. Although I had a great paranormal experience in... more

My sister treated me to a night at the Farnsworth for my 50th birthday. The staff were wonderful and friendly and the building was gorgeous. No bugs, rude employees, or dirty rooms. Only thing was paper on ceiling was peeling, but as to the fact this is a bed and breakfast and not hotel....that was acceptable. Our guide Mike was... more

The Farnsworth House is very mis-leading. The rooms are terrible. Not only are they dark, the rooms are dirty. They have tours through the house and it makes it impossible to get in and out of your room. The ghost tours are TERRIBLE!! The 'country breakfast ' consists of toaster and microwave foods. DO NOT STAY HERE- we are very... more

I had reservations for dinner and a show for 10 people. I will start with the nice. The only nice waitress in the whole place was Topaz which fortunately was our waitiress. The dining area is so small that the waitresses are nasty as they have to maneuver around people in the dining area and the bar to squeeze through.... more

We did not stay in the main building of the Farnsworth, but if you are looking for the paranormal experience, the main building is where it's at! We stayed in the separate suites to the left of the main house. The one we stayed in was called "The Belle Boyd". These are very uniquely decorated, with gorgeous four post beds,... more
