First, thank you to all who have written before--we chose this property because of your glowing reports. None were exaggerated. From the friendly welcome into a lovely, immaculate lobby to the spacious room overlooking Rittenhouse Square, we loved every minute of our stay. The staff is helpful, charming and makes you feel immediately at home. Our room was sunny and... More

It is very kind of you to add your voice to the majority of reviewers who find The Rittenhouse to be welcoming and a home away from home. We are not perfect but we do try to make every guest feel valued and engaged. If and when there is any issue, we are happy for the chance to correct it... More

We have stayed at the Rittenhouse many times over the years and it continues to be a favorite. We can walk across the street to the park with our toddler, there are great restaurants on the square, and everything you could need is accessible. The folks working the desk were similarly great. The only drawback is the rooms are a... More

I expected more from a hotel that commands a price comparable to hotels like the Ritz Carlton and Four Seasons. Upon arrival the bath rub had a film of dirt in it which was reported and promptly cleaned up (and a fruit tray left for the trouble). When I went to the front desk to ask for directions that evening... More

Clearly you should expect more from us and I am grateful for the opportunity to address the issues you encountered during your stay. Room readiness, responsiveness to concerns and above all, engagement are extremely important. While your experience was far from the standards that we train to and execute daily, I assure you that we take this very much to... More

Philadelphia Center City is a lively and wonderful place to visit and the Rittenhouse Hotel has the best of all locations right on Rittenhouse Park. Surrounded by a wide array of restaurants, BYOBs and swank bars, the city is right at your doorsteps. And don't overlook the bars and restaurants within the hotel itself. Bar21 in LaCroix on the 2nd... More

Philadelphia is a lively walkable city with terrific restaurants, BYOBs and a great assortment of bars. These just make this old city of brotherly love all the better. Located in the middle of the "tree" streets on beautiful Rittenhouse Square is a superb hotel with an amazing staff. The Rittenhouse offers extraordinarily comfortable rooms, fine amenities and some of the... More

We stayed for two nights. It is a lovely place in a good location. We had breakfast(both mornings) and dinner at the hotel and were not disappointed. The staff were all delightful. We had junior suite - spacious and nicely decorated. The disappointments: drapery valance falling down, toilet ran, one phone didn't work, light switches - many didn't seem to... More

Dear Martin, Thank you for bringing the shortfalls you experienced to our attention. We focus a great deal on details but clearly need to step up our game in the junior suite that you stayed in. We will immediately address your points and hope to have you back for a completely satisfying stay sometime soon. Please let us know if... More

The Rittenhouse Hotel is one of the "leading hotels of the world". You expect luxury and first class service from this affiliation. At the Rittenhouse you get more. The room was spacious and facing the square which I recommend. The hotel even in renovation (which will soon end) has all the amenities you want. What makes the hotel exceptional is... More

Really enjoyed staying here. It deserves its stars and more. Staff were helpful, rooms and bed very comfortable, and using the car service was a bonus. Lovely aspect from our spacious room overlooking the square. Prices were reasonable. Highly recommend.

Visited for 2 nights 9/14. Room and bedding very nice. Shower for a luxury hotel was a C+. Small and a weak shower head. No coffee maker or Kerig in room. Room service pot of coffee with fees north of $20 bucks. Try the 7-11 one block away. Parking. No self parking option. Valet $49 overnight plus tip of course.... More

There is not much else that can be said about this place that hasn't already been said in other reviews.
