Society hill is a great place to stay! It is within walking distance to all points of interest and the waterfront. The service was good and it is what you would expect from a big chain hotel. The one negative thing for me personally is that they have feather pillows! In this day and age with so many people with... More

Awful costumer service, too expensive when you compare with others hotels that offers a better assistence, noisy, a mess. The only advantage is near of touristic places, but anyway I won't turn back and I don't recommend. You pay too much and don't have breakfast, housemaid service and the recepcionist is unpolite. Honestly I regret to have been there.

Excellent location in the "Old Town" area, but despite being cheap in comparison to other Hotels in the area, it's probably better not to go there. Very steep stairs, tiny living area with one chair, access to the bedroom is though the tiny shower/wc/wash basin area! Tiny bedroom with what looks like a single bed, although it was booked as... We had 2 nights at this hotel (misnomer) and it was truly awful. No lift, no aircon ( aircon unit shoved into the closet.), window propped open with a bit of wood. Whole window fell out the next day, a miracle that we were not hurt. Staff not around on the Sunday. No room service, We felt sorry for the... More

Located in the heart of Old City Philadelphia, this historic building provides a clean, safe, albeit small place to call home for your visit. The building and rooms are very clean, very small, but with surprisingly high ceilings which negates a feeling of claustrophobia. Because of it's age, I didn't expect a huge room with ample luxuries. The room came... More

This was the worst hotel I ever stayed at. It was clean and the location was good, but the room was postage stamp small and the service was horrible. The TV did not work and the WIFI service only worked occasionally. The soap was enough for 1 shower and the shampoo for 1 hair wash. The hotel is located above... More

Soooooooooooo Noisey could not get to sleep until 3:45 AM. No one to call and no one answered the phone! Terrible experience. Thick layer of dust under table. No chair in room so only place to sit was on the bed. The room itself so hot we were sweating while in the hall it was very cool. We walked away... More

Never again! I warn you all! I ´m completelly destroyed after 2 nights! It´s without any service at all, the lights don ´t work, the awful technical noise during the night, ugly rooms, locks don ´t work - it´ s the worst hotel I ´ve ever been in.

We stayed at the society hill hotel for 3 nights. The location was great, only a 5 or so minute walk to the liberty bell and city hall (liberty hall). A shopping center is also within walking distance, which was good. The room was small, but it's an older building so totally understandable...the ceiling was high which was cute, overall... More
