My partner and I stayed at the Latham 10 years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it; it was not fancy, but was a quaint, European style hotel with decent beds and a great location. Sadly, the hotel has not been renovated since that time and our most recent visit was terribly disappointing. The first room we were shown to was downright... more

For one night - this place is fine, It's pretty clean but I wouldn't touch everything. It's in the middle of the Rittenhouse Square area and you have access to everything, The staff is friendly and knowledgable of the area (even though there are like only 2 of them) The rooms are seriously outdated and look like my grandma decorated... more

Have just had a 6 night stay at The Latham Hotel in Philadelphia. In a very good position to explor all this lovely city has to offer. Whilst the establishment is clean it is in parts a little tired and dated. The rooms are clean with comfortable beds and a decent bathroom with more than enough towels and plenty of... more

We hadn't been back to Philly in a couple of years but stayed here in the past. We love this hotel as it's a great boutique style hotel. Rooms are nicely appointed with all the modern amenities. Location is ideal for all we wanted to see while in town and we found the staff warm and friendly. Doormen are particularly... more

My husband and I decided to stay here because we needed something inexpensive for only one night. The Latham is located right near Rittenhouse Square (less than 2 blocks away) close to fantastic restaurants (especially this very cute italian place called Branzini on 17th St.--2 blocks away, get a table in the courtyard.) and close to shopping. This was a... more

My husband and I were extremely disappointed with our stay at the Latham Hotel this past weekend. We were looking forward to what was described on the website as "a hotel comparable to the finest European tradition of small, elegant and professionally staffed". The room that we stayed in had extremely outdated decor including a worn filthy rug, curtains that... more

Great location. That is where this stops in terms of compliments. We valet parked our car out front and went through an uneventful check-in process. We were not given a ticket for the car and had to wait 15 minutes to get one. The rooms are dingy, dirty, and very outdated. The light in the room was of poor quality... more

DO NOT STAY IN THIS PLACE. I arrived at the Latham Hotel on April 3rd. The Lobby was a small room with elevator doors and damp smell (Do not believe their Website pictures). Our room was not ready by check in time. The front desk clerk was on a personal call when we arrived and was rude and uncaring. The... more

My wife and I were coming to the Phila suburbs for a weekend event, and decided to make it into a holiday by getting a moderately fancy hotel in Center City. We paid about $175-200/night for the Latham. We expected a small, cozy, well-renovated historic hotel -- nothing opulent, but something clean, well-appointed and charming. In fact, this hotel appears... more

Stayed in this hotel for one night as part of a road trip holiday with two friends, we shared a room between the 3 of us which seemed reasonable at $109. We were expecting a basic high rise and so were suprised at the lavish looking appearance of the hotel, we were greeted by a fully suited doorman who arranged... more
