We stayed at the Thomas Bond house instead of the nearby Sheraton and were very happy we did. Chrissy is an amazing GM and she makes you feel right at home. The banana bread and coffee cakes are baked fresh each night for breakfast the next morning. Truly delicious. You feel as though you were headed to Independence Hall to... More

We came as a delegation of 3 people from South Korea needing separate rooms during a busy conference period in Philadelphia. Hoping to find somewhere within walking distance from the Pennsylvania Convention Center and without breaking our budget, I happened by chance to come across the Thomas Bond House via Google Maps. And I must say that I'm extremely grateful... More

This B&B is wonderful. It is in a historic house buit in 1769, very well preserved and tastefully decorated. The owner Chrissy and her staff are very hospitable and attentive. Our reception could not be more warm. Thank you, Corina! She gave us a great welcome and all instructions about the B&B. The breakfast is excellent. On Sunday is a... More

This small building has a cool history to it and was along a quiet street off the main road in Philly. There were a couple nice restaurants and a mini-supermarket. Hotel is nearer the river side of town away from City Hall and Reading Market which is about 5-10 blocks away. Location was ok, we walked everywhere around the city... More

I stayed 2 nights at this B&B while visiting Philadelphia. The room was quirky and comfortable, but what really stood out was the service. They were so accommodating, could really not do enough for their guests. The breakfast was yummy with lots of choice, and there were really nice touches like a glass of wine early evening and a fresh... More

This is not the new ultra modern chain hotel. It is in a restored 1700's house with no elevator. HOWEVER, it is a great place once you realize it is what it is. The host is really great, helps with the bags and knows the area. The rooms are comfortable and very clean. The amenities in the bathroom are good... More

What sets Thomas Bond House apart from most excellent B&Bs is it's history and charm ... its location in the heart of old town Philadelphia adjacent to Independence Park and close to marvelous restaurants (including fabulous and historic City Tavern) ... its large and beautiful period-furnished rooms ... and the exceptional hospitality of innkeeper Chrissie and her staff, highlighted by... From the welcome at the front door to arranging the taxi to the airport home, the staff at The Thomas Bond House makes you feel like a treasured guest. Our needs and comfort were first and foremost to all the staff, most especially, Chrissie, the innkeeper. For our girlfriend long weekend each year, we always arrange to stay in a... More

Stayed at Thomas Bond House instead of the conference hotel for an academic conference. The conference was at the Sheraton Society Hill, only a block away. But the Thomas Bond House was so much more affordable. Add to that the fact that there is continental plus breakfast during the week and hot breakfast on the weekends, and it's hands-down a... More
