This restored town home now serves as a bed and breakfast. During the week, the B&B serves a Continental Plus breakfast; during the weekend, they serve a full breakfast. The room rate depends on what room in the town house you pick. It is close to all the action associated with Independence National Historical Park; and, for a moment, you... More

My husband and I visited Philly for a wedding and spent three nights at this B&B and it was perfect on all counts! The public rooms were very welcoming and well-decorated with historical memorabilia and antiques, with comfortable chairs to lounge in while drinking coffee and reading the newspapers every morning. The breakfast was extraordinary! The complimentary wine in the... More

We stayed at the Thomas Bond House for 5 days and loved it. The building and decor have real character but the best bit is the really friendly welcome from the hosts Chrissie and Anthony. Our favourite part was the daily wine hour where you could chat to other interesting guests. Or if you wanted to skip it and have... More

Hi, Lucy. Thank you so much for the wonderful review! I loved getting to meet you and Max (especially in the mornings). I am so happy you enjoyed the Tall Ship Festival and your stay here. I hope Cape May was equally good to you. I hope to see you both on your next trip to the US! Chrissy More

We initially booked the Bond House due to its proximity to Independence Hall. What impressed us the most, however, was the Gluten Free food options and owner's hospitality. They prepared a Gluten Free breakfast, with GF French toast and 3 different GF pastries is impressive. And the regular French toast, Myeshia's recipe, is hands down the best that I have... More

Chris: It was a pleasure having you and your son as guests of The Thomas Bond House. Thank you for your kind words. We try very hard to accommodate our guests who have dietary restrictions. I will pass your compliment on to Myeshia regarding her French Toast. I have to say that it is the best I ever had also.... More

I was surprised when we arrived as to how pleasant and welcoming the Bed and Breakfast was. I had my 2 middle school age grandchildren with me, who enjoyed their stay as well. Their favorite things were the lovely breakfast, and the "living room" set up with a chess set. The inn keeper was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful with... More

We stayed at the Thomas Bond house instead of the nearby Sheraton and were very happy we did. Chrissy is an amazing GM and she makes you feel right at home. The banana bread and coffee cakes are baked fresh each night for breakfast the next morning. Truly delicious. You feel as though you were headed to Independence Hall to... More

We came as a delegation of 3 people from South Korea needing separate rooms during a busy conference period in Philadelphia. Hoping to find somewhere within walking distance from the Pennsylvania Convention Center and without breaking our budget, I happened by chance to come across the Thomas Bond House via Google Maps. And I must say that I'm extremely grateful... More

This B&B is wonderful. It is in a historic house buit in 1769, very well preserved and tastefully decorated. The owner Chrissy and her staff are very hospitable and attentive. Our reception could not be more warm. Thank you, Corina! She gave us a great welcome and all instructions about the B&B. The breakfast is excellent. On Sunday is a... More

This small building has a cool history to it and was along a quiet street off the main road in Philly. There were a couple nice restaurants and a mini-supermarket. Hotel is nearer the river side of town away from City Hall and Reading Market which is about 5-10 blocks away. Location was ok, we walked everywhere around the city... More
