Very quaint B&B that appears to be converted from townhouse apartments. Each room has complete kitchen and bath facilities. They are actually one bedroom apartments. Furnishings are eclectic and quaint. Very quiet side street in South Philly, just a few blocks off Broad St and South St. Walking distance to everything in South Philly. We found parking on the street... more

When my husband and I first drove up to the Bella Vista B&B, we looked at each other and thought oh no, we goofed on this one. The neighborhood looked iffy. The place itself, with its artificial flowers in flower boxes outside and the general deteriorating look, didn't inspire confidence. But since we had booked months in advance, we were... more

We stayed in the Sunrise Room for two nights. It was ok but compared to all other B&Bs that we used on our tour, it was the worst. Everything was clean, but the room was a bit tatty and musty and there were various cracks around and old furniture. The air con was a bit temperamental and there was only... more

We stayed 5 night at the Bella Vista. It's best features was the price and its location. And that is about it. We were highly disappointed by the make-your-own, frozen breakfasts. In an establishment called Bed and Breakfast, you would expect the breakfast to be somewaht of an highlight. Not so here, stale muffins, frozen pancakes! The room accomodations are... more

We stayed at the Bella Vista BNB for 1 night in September. I was very disappointed. I don't know where the people that are giiving this place 5 star ratings slept, but the room that we were in was terrible. It was so tacky that I seriously considered leaving and finding another place and forfeiting the $100 that I had... more

We like B&Bs, but this was the worst we've been to. It may have been that we were in the Hideaway Room (we wish we'd read the tripadvisor comments more carefully), which was moldy, damp, smelly, and had an awful shower. We couldn't wait to get home to really clean ourselves and our clothes. If you have allergies (as we... more

My mom and I stayed at Bella Vista in early March 2009 while in Philly to visit my daughter. We stayed in the Victorian suite which was like having our own apartment. The steps up to the suite were a little rough for my mom who's in her late 70s. My husband and I have stayed at many B&Bs but... more

I travel solo and have stayed in many places where I have felt like an awkward guest in my own room. This place is decorated with whimsical charm surrounded by lovely antiques. Dan and Barbara had a way of welcoming me like I was coming home and yet it wasn't overpowering or intrusive. Because of Bella Vista, my first B&B... more

My Wife teenage daughter and I stayed at Bella Vista for three nights during our Spring Break. We stayed in the La Grande Suite and it was very nice. Our Daughter enjoyed the raised loft and gave her a little bit of her own space. The convenience of a full kitchen along with the supplied breakfast foods was wonderful. The... more

We would highly recommend Bella Vista Bed and Breakfast. We stayed there for over a week and enjoyed every moment. Our room was clean and cosy and charming. We stayed in La Grande Suite and our daughter really enjoyed sleeping in the little loft in the room. The breakfast provisions were plentiful and we were always given lovely clean towels... more
