I searched the greater Phila. Area for a hotel for weeks. I wanted somewhere close to Liberty Bell etc. I finally decided on Morris House and am so glad I picked it. What a wonderful stay, if only for one nite. It is only blocks from the sites we wanted to see. We got upgraded to the" carriage house" which... More

My husband and I had an overnight getaway to see the Christmas sights in Philadelphia. What a relaxing place to stay! Felt removed from the hustle and bustle of the city but still within walking distance of all of that we wanted to see. Beds were comfortable and room felt inviting. Everyone who worked there was friendly. The breakfast was... More

We had a great time, with wonderful accommodations, and fantastic service. The place was clean, cozy and classic. It felt very homey. The service was excellent and the location is in the center of the historical Philadelphia, close to Independence Hall.

The Morris House Hotel is located in the historical center of Philadelphia, in a historical 1787 red brick mansion. My cab driver couldn't find it - it has no sign on the street - although its restaurant 'M' has a sign, and I guessed that the hotel was adjacent to the restaurant. The main entrance to the hotel, though, is... More

The hotel is wonderful. The bedroom is really comfortable. The food is delicious. They serve tea with cookies by 3 pm: The best cookies i have ever eaten! It is very well located, right in the historical center. People are very polite. I loved everything. It was perfect.

We visited Morris House for 3 nights for historic sight-seeing. Loved this place, our room (301) was spacious, quiet, comfortable. Staff was great, loved afternoon cookies/coffee/wine. Could easily walk to historic sights; centrally located. Loved it! If we ever come back to Philly, would definately stay here.

This place oozes with historic charm but at the same time provides all the modern facilities you would want as a tourist. Welcoming staff, lovely afternoon cookies, tasty breakfast. Central location. I really recommend this hotel and would return with pleasure. Had a room on the main street and it was quiet and spacious with an equally spacious bathroom.

Cozy little place in Philly. Convenient for walking to many places you'd want to go. Rooms are cozy and a little tight for someone over 6'4" but generally comfortable and nice. Breakfast was enjoyable and the staff accommodated all of our requests.

Loved this place. Have traveled a lot and love history. Won't stay anywhere else in philly. Bars, common areas, restaurant and courtyard are great. Rooms are clean and well appointed and all staff are great. Chefs creations in bar/restaurant are to die for. On site infused liquors make fantastic cocktails. Great experience regardless of price. The relatively low price made... More

I was traveling to Philadelphia on business and was not arriving until late and checking out by 8:00 am, so I didn't spend much time here. The hotel is very colonial (4 story colonial style building with no elevator) and the staff was very attentive. I got an excellent price for the night for a queen There was coffee in... More
