Loved this place. Have traveled a lot and love history. Won't stay anywhere else in philly. Bars, common areas, restaurant and courtyard are great. Rooms are clean and well appointed and all staff are great. Chefs creations in bar/restaurant are to die for. On site infused liquors make fantastic cocktails. Great experience regardless of price. The relatively low price made... More

I was traveling to Philadelphia on business and was not arriving until late and checking out by 8:00 am, so I didn't spend much time here. The hotel is very colonial (4 story colonial style building with no elevator) and the staff was very attentive. I got an excellent price for the night for a queen There was coffee in... More

This is one of the most fun hotels I've ever stayed at. It's an old colonial-era house; and you need to keep that in mind as you read their claims that they're a luxury hotel: they have done everything they can to make it similar to a luxury hotel, but it isn't one. It's a colonial era house. Don't expect... More

I had a very pleasant and comfortable stay at the Morris House Hotel. The building has great character and is very centrally located just off Washington Square. There are many good points. The beds are comfortable and the hotel is quiet so a good night's sleep is pretty much guaranteed. The hotel lounge is equipped for comfort with soft lighting... More

We visit philly often to visit our daughter and have stayed in many different places and we all agree that this was by far the best! We were amazed by the beauty of the old home and we were even more excited to have all the convenience of an upscale accommodation. The location was perfect, we could walk to everything... More

A historic hotel with picturesque entrance and back garden which serves as a quiet sanctuary from the city. It is minutes from the Liberty Bell, in a quiet and peaceful part of town. There are no elevators so be prepared to lift your luggage around narrow staircases if you are at the higher floors. The room is surprisingly large, clean... More

We were only able to spend one night at the Morris House Hotel and wish we could have stayed longer. The Hotel is in an historic building (1787) and perfectly located within walking distance of all the major historical attractions. The staff was wonderfully attentive. And we enjoyed the afternoon cookies and wine and a nice continental breakfast in the... More

Great place, gracious staff, an authentic step back into history. My favorite Hotel in Philadelphia. Always a refreshing escape. A gourmet desert in the interior garden makes a nice way to end the day. ... G McB

Think this hotel is resting on its laurels. Yes, a fabulous building and good location but for this money we expected a lot more. There are no tea and coffee facilities in the bedroom, only in the downstairs lounge and our room 304 had some issues. The lighting in the bathroom is inadequate - very dark and the bathroom was... The perfect place to stay in Philly - I can't recommend this hotel highly enough! The hotel is beautiful, clean and has excellent staff who will ensure you have a great stay. The breakfast was great and there were fresh cookies everyday in the dining room, perfect for those with a sweet tooth. The room was spacious and comfortable with... More
