Place was beautiful, well situated in center city Philly. We stayed in the carriage house. Very well equipped and roomy. Well furnish and well kept. Very, very rainy weekend, so it was a perfect time to stay inside. Hotel staff was very accommodating and informative of local restaurants and things to do. We had dinner at The M Restaurant, the... more

This inn/small hotel was originally the home of a signer of the Declaration of Independence. It has successfully attempted to keep the decor and charm of the original residence while providing modern electronics throughout the hotel. Service is attentive and personal. Costs are very reasonable for the area, and It is a wonderful alternative for a person looking for an... more

The Morris House Hotel is in the historic district, walking distance to Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell. After a full day of site-seeing, it is nice to come back to the hotel and sit in front of the fireplace. There is 4:00 o'clock tea, with wonderful home made cookies. The staff is always helpful, and go out of their... more

My wife and I had a wonderful time with the Valentine"s Package.Staff was very attentive and helpful. Third floor room was clean, quiet and warm. Dinner at the "M" Restaurant was outstanding. Continental Breakfast was just right. All in all, we had a great time! more

We spent one night in room #201, the most requested room, according to the site. It was a rather large and well appointed room but instead of offering a chocolate on the pillow, they may do well to give you an Ambien. The room was in the front of the house with all the street noise that would be expected... more

We had a fantastic time! The exterior of the building is brick and has a great historic vibe, while the interior is ultra-modern and has every amenity. The cookies in the lobby were the icing on the cake :) The hotel is a stone's throw from the Liberty Bell and the Constitution Hall; lots of nice restaurants nearby as well. more

Very nice rooms; cozy "living room" downstairs with a nice fireplace and the New York Times; cookies every night (not homemade, but still pretty good). Great location for historic sight-seeing. more

My grand-daughter and I recently spent two nights at the Morris House, as part of our celebratory visit to Philadelphia for her 21st birthday. The accommodations were better than adequate, but not luxurious. I had the feeling that someone had begun with a lovely collection of antiques, then filled in the holes with purchases from Ikea or perhaps a trip... more
