We had to make an unexpected trip to Philly and wanted a place right near Will's eye Hospital. Morris House was the prefect solution! It was a three minute walk to the front door of Will's from Morris House. When we arrived at Morris House, bleary eyed from travel, they sat us down for tea and cookies in a beautiful... More

We stayed here one night and had a chance to see some sights all in easy walking distance from the hotel. The bar attached to the hotel had live jazz music and a happy hour that drew very friendly locals. We felt most welcome. The room was quiet, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was the only real disappointment... A minimal selection... More

My husband booked this hotel based on the positive Trip Advisor reviews. The suite room was exceptionally clean, luxurious bedding, very comfortable pillows, and with high end sundries. The décor in the downstairs rooms and of the suite bedroom/bath were traditional based on this historic homes circa date. Breakfast was served in the library with fine china and a roaring... More

We had only one day in Philly, so this hotel is an excellent location to allow for optimal site-seeing without time wasted on getting to and from the historical highlights. Additionally, the staff was so professional, so warm and helpful it was a pleasure to be there. They also have a wonderful complimentary breakfast. The only reason I did not... More

My husband and I stayed in this hotel for my birthday. We really loved it. We're often sceptical about more traditional hotels like this one, but this hotel is truly great. It has charm, character, comfort and cleanliness. Often hard to get all four in one hotel. Our room was very spacious, quiet and spotlessly clean. The bed was wonderful,... More

This 18th century gem, 3 minutes walk from Washington Square is a delight. With only a few rooms, impeccable decor and genuine but un-pompous antique furniture, it is truly charming. It's like being invited into a Jane Austen family home, with crackling fires, breakfast in the library, cosy rooms and a spacious courtyard leading to the excellent restaurant. The staff... More

My wife and I are expecting our third child in a week so we decided to take a little getaway. I researched Morris House since it was around the corner from the Walnut St. Theatre and I had purchased tickets. I was so glad I booked! A charming B&B in the middle of the historic district and close to everything.... More
