We really loved the Morris House and the staff. Its location is perfect, a short walk to Independence Green, the Liberty Bell, Constitution Hall, Reading Market (WOW), and on it goes. My wife and I really enjoyed this hotel. The continental-plus breakfast and teatime treats exceeded expectations, though neither would be what you would call 'filling'. Rooms are a bit quirky as you might expect from a historic inn. But very clean, and staffed by uncommonly friendly and helpful people. Definitely worth the price.

Great location, friendly and helpful staff, beautiful hotel. BUT, I stayed in rooms on the 8th St side of the building (Rooms 202 and 302) and the rumblings from the trains underneath were unbelievable - the bed shook, the furniture and fitting rattled....
