We are a family of four and spent two nights at the Morris House Hotel. It is in an excellent location to visit the historic sites of Philadelphia (and buy jewelry - apparently this is jeweler's row!). It was pouring rain so we were grateful to the proximity to these sites! I found the staff to be very helpful except... more

I stumbled upon the Morris House from a B&B.com gift card which was given to my wife and I as a gift. As silly as I may become at times, I did not verify the use of our gift card. The Morris house staff assured us and showed us that they weren't participants with the B&B.com gift card program. My... more

Our overnight stay was wonderful. We stayed in room 301, which was clean, spacious, and welcoming. On that floor, there was only one other room with guests, so it was nice and quiet. The amenities were nice - L'Occitane shampoo and soap, Godiva chocolates, free bottled water, a simple continental breakfast, and afternoon cookies (homemade!) and tea. Yum! The location... more

I have stayed here twice now with my son while looking at colleges and we both loved it. Each time I asked to be in the older part of the hotel because I love historic houses. The rooms were spacious and nicely done in a gracious, upscale early American style with very comfortable beds and all of the amenities. They... more

My husband and I stayed at The Morris House (Rm 304) in July. We were in town for a Friday night wedding and decided to make a long weekend out of it. We were given information from the bride to be on the Omni and after looking into the hotel decided against it. We found the Morris House on line.... more

I stayed here on business and was pleasantly surprised by the character of the hotel - my room was full of antiques but had a flat-screen TV and free wireless internet (which I couldn't use on my iPhone but there was a computer set up in the lobby). There is afternoon tea/cookies, and the breakfast is basic but good. There... more

We were going to stay here for just one night, but liked it so much that we decided to stay a second night at the last minute, which the hotel conveniently granted us a 50% off discount for the second night even though we checked out already and even let us choose a different room. The historic location can not... more

I was highly disappointed with the service offered at this property. I had a B&B.com giftcard, which the property would not accept, despite their listing on this website and their advertisement of B&B.com at their property. The "staff" was grossly unprofessional and unwilling to help. My husband requested to speak to the manager and was advised he was not allowed.... more

We had a wonderful stay for 2 nights. The staff were very friendly & helpful; the continental breakfast excellent. WIFI is free. Morris House Hotel, built as a home in the 1780s, was converted to a small inn with 15 rooms several years ago. The Hotel has 2 or 3 buildings centered around a large courtyard. I think the original... more

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Morris House Hotel and loved it, the rooms were beautiful and full of charm. Our room was on the street side and it was still so quite! Breakfast was great we ate once in the dinning room and we also had it brought the room, that was really nice! The only thing that... more
