I was afraid to bring my wedding group to this hotel after reading the reviews.....I was pleasantly surprised. Everyone we came into contact with made sure that this was enjoyable and non-stressful place before we got married. I asked for a new room and they gave me a corner room which was almost as big as a suite, but at... more

Just finished 4 nights at this hotel, my client's choice &, overall, 'uneven' is about the best way I can think to describe it. The beds are comfy, though I don't know why Hilton has moved away from using fitted bottom sheets on the beds when so many other hotels do, including Hilton Garden Inns & Hampton Inns, both members... more

Let me provide some context. I am a consultant for a global company so I do a lot of business travel and stay at a wide variety of hotels. I've never had this type of treatment at any other hotel. Here were my major issues with this hotel: 1) I was about to go to sleep and I found the... more

The first and most important issue is the location of the hotel. It's about a 15-20 minute taxi ride (about $20 before tip) to and from the Amtrak 30th St. station depending on traffic, so it isn't the most convenient place to stay if you're wanting to do the city center locations. You will pay the same taxi fare to... more

Their first mistake was to build the place on the Philadelphia side of City Line Avenue. Across the street, they'd have saved each guest about twelve bucks a night, which is the Philly City room tax. And they might have improved the tiny U for cars, which makes their valet parking strenuous, and makes the valets nasty when there's an... more

When I booked this room, I was under the impression that it was "a short drive to the 30th Street Amtrak Station." I did read other reviews on Trip Advisor, however, to prepare myself. I arrived by train and took a taxi to the hotel. It cost me around $20 to get from the 30th Street Amtrak Station to the... more

Visit started off well with a hello from doorman Herman but went downhill from their. Check- in was slow. Room requested was not ready. We were switched to a lesser room. The front desk staff not particularly welcoming and in fact except for Herman, staff attitude from bar to breakfast chef was not friendly. We were in town for a... more

We were directed to this Hilton by the staff of Philadelphia University, where our daughter was taking a college tour. Like other reviewers, I was concerned about staying at this property, based on reading other reviews. However, our family ONLY wants to stay in 100% smoke free properties, so we took a chance. I have to say that we really... more

After reading several reviews on this hotel I did not have high expectations. Me and business partners would be staying there for four nights on a business trip. The hotel staff was very generous and helpful in every way. My room was not one of the newer rooms but it was still very pleasant and comfy. It was clean, which... more

Recently spent three nights at Hilton Philadelphia City Avenue. Flew into Philadephia International and drove to the hotel around 8PM. Not familiar with Philadelphia but had not problem finding it as it was expressway almost the entire way. Front desk was very pleasant for check-in and we were given hot pretzels. We stayed on the Hilton Honors floor and when... more
