Staying at the Union League is a bit like stepping back to the 1860's, except you've got first class comforts and internet. Clean, comfortable and spacious. But from my perspective it is the history you find yourself surrounded by that makes the Union League so amazing. Can't wait to return. Not your typical place to stay. Much, much better.

My husband and I are movie lovers and when an opportunity to stay at the Inn at Union League we jumped on it. The room was large and so was the bathroom. You could have put a twin bed in there! There was plenty of closet space and drawer space and plenty of space to move around. Quite unusual for... More

I have known the Union League of Philadelphia as a classic old world private city club--the kind of place where you expect to see middle-aged men in three piece suits smoking cigars and reading the papers over afternoon tea...or something stronger. I hadn't realized that they'd opened its overnight guest rooms, known as The Inn at The Union League, to... More

My second time staying overnight in Philly within the last couple of months and while I prefer to accumulate points at hotels, the location and value far exceed my need for points. For just over $200 per night you can get a very nice, clean, modern and spacious room with a buffet breakfast for two (omelette bar included). Such a... More

I stayed in a 6th floor suite at the UL. The room was well done and the shower was so clean it could have been brand new. I love the style of the older hotels and the lovely appointments. Everything was fantastic.

We always enjoy staying at the Union League. The staff is wonderful, the rooms clean and nicely appointed and the breakfast is awesome and included in the price. We will stay here again and anytime I'm overnight in Philadelphia

This club, founded in 1862 has been recently updated - beautifully. It is ideally situated - the very center of this beautiful city. The rooms are well appointed and the facilities are fabulous! We were there for the Marathon! I can hardly wait to go back!

Rooms are incredibly huge and luxurious, however be advised that the Union League is quite old and the weekend crowds can be heard from nearby entertainment. The food at either the '1862 by Martin Hamann' or 'Founders' which are in the Union League is fantastic! The Sommelier at the 1862 is from France and was very friendly, funny and helpful.... More

We had the opportunity to stay at The Inn at the Union League of Philadelphia and it was fantastic. We stayed 5 nights and it is not all about the room. The room was very good, totally adequate and comfortable with king bed, desk, wifi, water, large screen lcd tv, good cable, washroom with pedestal sink and good bathtub with... More

Because I was sharing a room with a colleague while we were attending a professional meeting at the Pennsylvania Convention Center (and he belongs to a club with a reciprocal arrangement), I had a chance to stay here. It seemed like a 5-10 minute walk to the convention center and about the same distance to Suburban Station (which has trains... More
