Nothing special, but a good hotel in a good location. Room was small but equipped with 'fridge, microwave, etc. I would stay again but would certainly stay in the many nicer places around if affordable. Nothing wrong with this place, just nothing special to recommend it.

Dear David U, Thanks for taking the time in giving us feedback on your stay with us. We do have some rooms at a discounted room rate that has a mini-fridge and microwave only, instead of having an entire room with full kitchen amenities in your room. This is great if you're only staying for a quick night or two... More

This is not your usual suburban Residence Inn, but rather a converted old, very solid 26 story bank. As such the rooms were very quiet, despite being on a busy street, immediately overlooking the magnificent City Hall. Many retaurants nearby, and top flight shopping an easy walk.. Parking is valet only, which comes to $48 daily with tax. I moved... More

Decided to take a weekend trip with my wife who just returned from a deployment. The location is central to everything we wanted to visit. We were in one of the king suites. The view was good but the room was a bit dated. Nothing like what I saw in the pictures. I was expecting more for them price, but... More

First off the location and the staff at this property are what makes the property exceptional. The breakfast was of good quality - typical of Residence Inn. The rooms were quite dated when compared to typical Residence Inn standards. Countertops were Formica and artificial marble and sofa / chair near end of life. Our room had a recent drywall repair... Dear Skeeternc, Thanks again for taking the time in letting us know about your stay at our hotel. I'm very thankful for having such a wonderful staff at the hotel making our guests stay so memorable. I also want to apologize for the condition of the room that you stayed in. That is very unusual to be put in such... More

OVERALL: Great overnight stay; excellent staff. We chose Marriott Residence Inn (vs. sister hotels and other chains) because of value for price, location, and amenities. Everything went well: fast/easy check-in, valet parking service (costs extra, but worth it for short stays), getting extra linen, and asking staff for directions/recommendations for places to eat. Marriott rewards members receive complimentary bottled water... More

Perfect downtown center city location (walking distance to great restaurants, museums, historical sites, and great central location for business), large fully equipped fitness facility, good breakfast options, decent managers reception (could have a few more offerings however), and awesome friendly and attentive staff. Rooms could stand a little updating however and daily parking fee of $40 is a little high... More

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for two nights in February 2015. The location was great and it is across the street from City Hall. The rooms are quite large for a city hotel room and they have a small kitchen too. At breakfast in the morning, the staff was so polite and greeted everyone with a smile... More

I've been staying here for business the past 7 weeks. The Hotel is clean, well managed and the staff are very friendly! It's located right next to City Hall and when I look out my window I can gaze at the William Penn statue. The amount of great restaurants within easy walking distance will surprise you. It will be hard... More

We came to Philadelphia for the Annual Flower Show at the Convention Center, returning to the exact same room we'd stayed in before at the Downtown Residence Marriott. The staff welcomed us immediately upon our entering the front door and assured us they'd be available to help throughout our stay. We'd arrived on Monday,March 2 fully expecting to stay until... This was my second stay here in about 6 weeks. This hotel has a lot going for it: friendly staff to greet you and help you find everything you need, from great restaurants to the closest Walgreens. Free wifi to get your work done (or for the kids). Excellent breakfast including actual hot food and to-go containers if needed. Central... More
