This is great location if you are visiting Philly and plan to travel on foot. The hotel is behind City Hall and in an old bank building. Easy walk to historic sites, museums, restaurants, parks, and plazas. Room was small but comfortable and clean. Stay included a hot breakfast in a large area with plenty of seating. Kitchen in room... More

We were in a small room (mediocre king bed, fridge, microwave, but no tables or side chairs). The room was a similar size to most urban hotel rooms, and not a big problem. But there was no bedside table (or shelf) next to one size of the bed, so we ended up up-ending the waste basket so we'd have a... More

Dear SwL781, Thanks for taking the time in letting us know about your stay. You did comment on the size of the room. This is a newer room type that was completed as part of a conversion back in 2012. The room is listed as a different type room than the others in the hotel. There is a mini-fridge, microwave... More

I recently stayed here for two nights for a conference and found it to be adequate, but price being the same would probably stay at the Marriott one block over in the future. The line for the valet was long and disorganized when I arrived, so I had to go inside to find someone to help me. The room itself... More

This is right across the street from Reading Terminal Market. We walked to all of the sites in the city. We were warned that the room was small, but I didn't find it very small. There was a bedroom and a sitting room with a sofa sleeper. Each had a t.v. In it. We asked for a room on a... More

We checked into the large studio room: it has a pantry, dining table for 3, sofa and 2 queen beds. Bathroom is a bit small in the corner; but overall room-nicely spacious. Pantry is equipped with electric stove, dishwasher and coffee maker. Breakfast is included - which is an experience of its own. You can make your own waffle, plus... More

Rooms are spacious, almost full (but small) kitchen is really nice for long work sections in room, property clean, business center separated in basement; this is a really good place for extended stays in Center City Philly

We stayed in a suite with my nephews and son. Spacious, clean and felt secure despite being in the downtown. Only drawback was that there are several Marriotts all on top of each other and a little confusing which was ours! Convenient walking to many attractions and eateries. Comfortable room and bed.

The hotel was nice. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was average but be aware that if you get the one bedroom suite, the entrance to the bathroom is in the bedroom. Anyone who is not sleeping in the bedroom needs to walk through the bedroom to access the bathroom. The room was a little worn but nothing... More

Stayed at the Residence Inn Philadelphia Center City for 2 nights June 2015. Location was great. Within walking distance of our plans. One direction to The Franklin Institute, other direction to the historic area (US Mint, Liberty Bell, Independence Hall) Valet parked the car for 2 days, $40 a day, typical for valet/city rates. Started in one double queen room... More

Dear jenaye, Thanks for taking the time in giving a review from your stay. We are very lucky to be in such a great location in Center City, Philadelphia. The hotel was converted from an office building into a extended stay hotel. That is why majority of the rooms have a distinct room design. I'm glad your kids liked the... More

Yes, the location is good and the service is fine but the hotel rooms are in desperate need of a refresh. Mattress beginning to sag, coach feels like you're sitting on a board, lighting is old... you get the idea. This will not be our hotel of choice the next time were in Philadelphia.

Dear kt4981CIC, Thanks for taking the time in giving your feedback on your stay with us. Very sorry that you felt the mattress and product wasn't up to standards. I've met with my Housekeeping Manager on checking on the mattress and sofa to ensure this is corrected. Sincerely, Ed F More
