Thank you Tripadvisor! I always use your site and have never been mis-guided or let down. First timer in Philadelphia and chose this quaint little boutique hotel and was extremely pleased. Great service, rooms, location etc. Don't go anywhere else. Stay here and you won't regret it. more
I spent one night at Rittenhouse 1715 on my way back from a business trip and wish I could have stayed for a week. Having lived in Philadelphia for almost 5 years, I'm very familiar with the city and the accommodations available and have to say that this is by far the most impressed I've been with any hotel in... more
we stayed at the Rittenhouse for a romantic getaway and were pleasantly surprised. the hotel is a gorgeous B&B with plush european accomodations. the room, however small, was quite comfortable and very clean. the hotel is located in the Rittenhouse Square district and was conviently close to all. we especially loved the park right around the corner where we would... more
What a beautiful inn. Our room was amazing and newly renovated complete with beautiful antiques and a truly wonderful bed! The bath has this amazing shower. Located just off of Rittenhouse Square it was a prefect location. We attended a great play at the Walnut Street Theater and ate at some amazing restaurants all within walking distance. I can't wait... more
Searching for a romantic place to take my wife, for her birthday, a friend recommended the Rittenhouse 1715. I couldn't have made a better choice. From the time we arrived, to the time we departed everything was perfect. The staff, the accomodations, the breakfast and the location couldn't have been any better. We are making the Rittenhouse 1715 a yearly... more

Unfortunately it must have been an "off" weekend for the hotel, because I wasn't impressed. Pluses - location, size (nice to be one of only 8 rooms). Minuses - some of the staff was very friendly, but others... more
We specifically were looking for a boutique inn for our stay in Philadelphia for the Army-Navy game weekend. We found this elegant inn online during our research and were not disappointed. It is situated on quiet street with lovely, historical rowhouses just steps away from Rittenhouse Square. The service was wonderful. We arrived late on Thursday night and the gentleman... more
I must echo the overall comments of excellence of this Hotel. Everything was fantastic....all recently remodeled, very urbane and elegant with an understated European elegance. Staff very attentive and helpful. Morning breakfast and evening wine reception. Great location in downtown Philadelphia. Much to my pleasant surprise, I was upgraded to a third floor duplex suite with an amazing spiral staircase... more
The Rittenhouse 1715 has a certain magic to it. Perhaps it is through the kindness and joy of Asia, or Amy, the receptionists. Or the general kindness and cultivation of the other guests. I happened to stay there when Phillies won the world series. There were riots in Broad street but nothing touched the calm of the Rittenhouse. The reception... more
