Rittenhouse 1715 was everything I hoped it would be. The staff was welcoming, attentive and more than willing to do anything to make my stay enjoyable whether it was helping unload luggage, providing directions to historical places and recommending restaurants within walking difference. They made me feel like I was an old friend coming to visit. The room was immaculate,... More

Dear yolos, We are pleased to hear that you found our staff to be welcoming, more than willing to do anything to make your stay enjoyable, and to have considered you as a friend, as that is our goal for all of our guests. It is true that the vast majority of our rooms have windows that open, which is... More

Well, yes, there's no view from the rooms, but the comfort, style, elegance, and service at 1715 Rittenhouse are unsurpassed in this price range. Across the Square, at hundreds more per day, you get the views, but not more comfort, charm, convenience, or kindness. Scrupulously clean in all respects. Gorgeous baths. We stayed in two different rooms, and the beds... More

Dear Sharon D, Thank you so much for your kind review. We greatly appreciate that you found our rooms, staff, and breakfast to be “wonderful in every way.” Our housekeeping staff will accept nothing less than scrupulously clean rooms, and our front desk staff holds themselves very highly to the “Five-Heart Service” standard which manifests itself as being kind and... Not a bad hotel at all but for this price I would have expected a nice view, light and clean windows, an air conditioning you could control yourself and a little refrigerator in your room. And most of all that the included breakfast would consist of more than coffee, pastries, jam and crossaints cut in half. Rittenburg 1715 has not.... More

Dear AJo64, Please accept our apologies that the room did not live up to your expectations. There is no excuse for a lack of cleanliness, as you experienced with the windows in your room. As our building is older than most of the surrounding (taller) buildings, and half of a block off of Rittenhouse Square, there isn’t much of a... More

I have stayed at this hotel twice- once in October 2013 and once in May 2014. The location is great- next to many restaurants and shops. The breakfast is really good- berries with yogurt, eggs, bread. The rooms are very nice. The beds are comfortable. There is a nice happy hour. My favorite part of the hotel is the service.... More

Dear TravelerNIH, Thank you so much for your kind words, and for returning to our hotel! We are glad that you were able to enjoy both our complimentary continental breakfast, and our a la carte chef-prepared entrees. It is very nice to hear that you enjoyed many aspects of the hotel, but our staff is truly what sets us apart... More

My husband backs away from 'boutique' hotels so I didn't say the boutique word to him when he asked where we were staying in Philadelphia. I knew I would love it, but he REALLY did. The room was great, so perfectly clean; the hotel well located, the staff were quickly our friends-- we met such nice people. We stayed only... More

Everyone on staff tries our very best to make a connection with all guests, so we are especially pleased to hear that you considered us to be your friends. After the anonymity of a large DC hotel, how nice to stay where you're acknowledged and recognised each time you pass through reception. Our room was tastefully decorated, the bed was comfortable, the room was clean - and what joy to find staff who were happy to talk with you and ensure you enjoyed your Philly stay.

Dear PaPaYoYoKildare, Our staff tries very hard to make a connection with each and every guest, which is not difficult to do when there are only 23 rooms! As all of us have an affinity for Philadelphia, either as life-long residents or as people who have chosen this city over any other, we are very keen to make visitors aware... More

I really liked this hotel, which was located on a quiet side street near Rittenhouse Square in Philadelphia. Our room was pretty good, nice furnishings, good size and comfy bed. It was clean and had excellent housekeeping. A couple of niggles - the wifi was dreadful and there was no water provided in the room - you had to pay... More

Dear JessicaDavies, Thank you for your kind words about the hotel. Our housekeeping staff is among the most honest and diligent that I’ve ever seen, and we are glad that you feel the same.
