The Westin Philadelphia's main attraction is its location. It is only blocks away from the dining and shopping of Rittenhouse Square, and within walking distance in every direction to many other shops and restaurants. I found this hotel very strange. Public spaces are underwhelming, the restaurant is dismal, the bar uninspiring. I stayed here for one night on a combination cash and SPG points. I was pleasantly surprised by the look of the hotel. I read somewhere that it was a former Ritz property. The room was spacious with a large desk, flatscreen TV and a nice view. (11th floor). The only issues I had with the hotel were the self-parking.... more
