I stayed recently during a volleyball tournament at the convention center. I did not choose the hotel or pay for it but I will tell you I would stay here if I had the choice. The construction does not leave a good first impression but once you get on the elevator all is well. Very friendly staff on the phone... More

Not as bad as others make out. Staff are fabulous at recommending what to see, where to go and even the best places to eat. Yes the hotel is dated....but that is why they are renovating!!! We were put up on the higher floor to reduce noise but we were not in our room during building times anyway, we out... More

Yes, the hotel is under renovation, but the staff was outstanding, and the room was clean and comfortable. The location was perfect - close to my meeting location, but also in easy walking distance to some of the historical sites.

My husband and I stayed at the Sonesta Hotel in Philadelphia for 6 nights. On the website it says that there are quiet floors on club level – one of the reasons I chose this Sonesta Hotel. It turned out there are no club level floors, let alone quiet floors. We were given a room at the 12th floor (of... More

Went here for work trip. They had a seminar in the hotel. The hotel itself is under construction...and is a mess. The outside doesn't even look like a hotel and you have to enter through almost the parking garage. But.... the staff makes up for it. Everyone was very kind and helpful..from the concierge to the housekeeping staff. The staff... More

When I booked the hotel I booked it based on the information and photos available on the website. However, in reality they are going through a huge renovation and lack all the amenities they advertise. Don’t believe any of the photos posted here or on their website. Those photos are proposed designs / models and not actually what it currently... More

Dear Jorgejr88, Thank you for your comments. While under renovation, we do have all of our amenities open, except for the Elephant and Castle restaurant which was located in the lobby. Even though the restaurant is closed, Room Service is still available and the hotel is located in the restaurant district of the city. Within a few blocks of the... More

. Like other reviews mentioned i had no idea they were renovating the hotel. That was ok, i could deal with that, our room was on the 12th floor so no noise. That was the best it got. The room was small, all we had was one chair and a bed for sitting. The room was clean besides the grease... More

Unfortunately, the only hotel accepting reservations during our stay was the Sonesta. I read the reviews on Trip Advisor, but figured we could deal with a little inconvenience. I was wrong. The staff were very nice, but the facility is borderline in every sense of the word. It was not worth the money we paid to stay here for one... More

Hotel failed to mention they are completely under renovation and the place looks nothing like the website. We are paying about $300/night to stay in a war zone. The manager offered $30 off as compensation. Horrible experience. We will NEVER stay here or at any of the other hotels in this chain again.

The room was clean but the bed was very hard and the jack hammers started up at 7:00 am. There were no moderately priced restaurants in the neighborhood, only very expensive and a salad and a glass of wine cost me 50.00 for in room service dining. All in all the room was about 300.00 for one night and it... More
