Stayed at the Sofitel at the end of July for three nights, while on business in Philly. Hotel is very comfortable and, as has been stated within other reviews, the rooms are spacious with great beds! The walk in showers are also a plus. I had an issue on my first night due to a foul smell in the room... more

I'll start with a small qualifier: I didn't pay for my stay here (work did), so I might be slightly less enthusiastic if I had had to pay the steep rates. Yet, it seems the amenities and service match the price. The service was all top notch. Maids come twice a day, concierge is very friendly and other staff are... more

Booked 2 rooms for a 2 night stop-over on the way to LA, chosen based on Trip Advisor reviews. Whilst this was one of the best and well appointed hotels we stayed in during our holiday, that was expected and there were too many problems and niggles to rate it any higher. Main problem was confusion with the booking. Having... more

I booked a one night stay with my husband and baby at the Hotel Sofitel on the recommendation of the previous reviewers here at Trip Advisor. I've never been steered wrong with the advice, except this time. I booked a higher rate for a king sized bedroom, complete with breakfast and a late checkout. I anticipated a relaxing stay. The... more

Stayed here for 3 nights early July. The hotel is in a really nice part of Philly. Walnut street (for shopping) is right round the corner, and there are loads of bars and restaurants nearby to choose from (Highly recommend Monks and the black sheep). The reason I gave the Sofitel 4 and not 5 stars ? There was a... more

A little more low-key than Sofitel NYC, but that's likely the difference between Philly and The Big Apple. The staff is outstanding, the rooms are modern and clean, and the location -nearest to weekend shopping and dining - is superb. Great price / quality ratio. (Things to do nearby: visit Parc - the Paris-bistro facing Rittenhouse Square. Tria - the... more

My husband and I just spent one night at the Sofitel, and I am sorry we couldn't stay longer. From the moment we arrived and were greeted by the bellhop at the door, we felt totally cared for. All staff were gracious, attentive and ready to help. I would single out the concierge who was always helpful. When my husband... more

We loved the Sofitel. We had a Jr. Suite, with nice living area, two flat screen HD televisions, huge bathroom with seperate shower/tub, nice dressing area and vanity. The employees of the hotel were all very nice and willing to help in any way. The bed is super comfortable. You have a down comforter and a feather bed, it's like... more

Stayed 3 nights over the 4th of July weekend. Room, bed, towels and extra's great! Advise that when booking a room ask not to be located near the maid's closet, in the morning and during turndown service they were very loud (talking and letting the door close on it's own). Listening to a door slam 20 times in a half... more

Due to a bit of fun with my flights, I ended up at the hotel a night early. The only room they had available was a larger one than I had reserved, but having paid the standard rate for it, they upgraded me to the same room for the rest of my stay - very classy. The staff was incredibly... more
