Booked a last minute room on our 24 hr stay in philly and was more than impressed. It's in the perfect area, lovely houses all around and walking distance into the town. Rooms were huge, no tv though which didn't bother us. Breakfast is made to order at certain sittings and was delicious. Staff were great with the exception of... More

Our room was spacious and the B&B was well positioned for seeing the city. When we extended our stay, we knew we would have to switch rooms, mid-stay. Unfortunately, we didn't anticipate that we would have to remove our belongings from one room and leave them in a public space (living room). We were told they would be attended and... More

Stayed at the B & B on Jan 23rd . When I called to book & when we arrived,we were greeted by Ned? Ed?(Sorry) and he was extremely friendly! We stayed in the Rittnehouse & the Saratoga suites. They were decorated very nicely, clean, warm & cozy. Our suites took up the entire bottom floor, in the adjacent building, away from the parlor... My husband and I stayed here Christmas week and thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Hunt room. It is on the 3rd floor with no elevator but that was not a problem for us. The innkeepers were friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were very good especially the hot cooked meal on Christmas Day. Every day there are excellent fresh baked... More

Everything is great! Friendly service! The rooms are older but by no means antiquated, they're really homely! The only complaint that i have is that the water pressure sucks! The shower alternates between hot and cold randomly so that you spend most of your shower waiting for the water to become the right temperature.

My boyfriend and I stayed here over a weekend in the Hunt Room. The room itself was very unique and it had its own bathroom which was nice. It is in a good location and close to all of the major attractions. The Inn keeper Sherri is very nice and approachable. You feel like you've known her for years. The... More

We stayed in The Independence Studio and lacked for nothing. Roomy, comfortable and spotlessly clean, we had a most enjoyable stay. The communial breakfast was most pleasant and for us as visitors to the US a great source of information, gossip and helpful advice, especially in respect of Asheville NC which we will now visit next March. The staff at... More

Our first visit to La Reserve was exquisite. The room was sumptuous, very comfortable, beautifully furnished. The hosts were very helpful. The "continental" breakfast was more than we expected - a huge variety of baked goods, fruit, yogurt, all good.

We enjoyed our stay in the Saratoga suite on a cold and rainy Saturday in Philadelphia. We had our teenage daughter and a friend with us and they slept on the sofa bed in the living/kitchen room. We had to move a little furniture to open the sofa bed, but we saved quite a bit over two separate rooms. There... More

We travelled to Philadelphia with our daughter and son-in-law for a mini vacation and decided to stay at the La Reserve in light of good reviews and close proximity to old city Philadelphia ( love historic sites !!!) We walked everywhere even though we're seniors. La Reserve and other area buildings were constructed in the 1850's so this is part... More
