This was my first experience of staying in a hostel and I was a little apprehensive, to be honest. I needn't have been though, because Apple is a great little place and very well run. It is located in a downtown alleyway, so convenient for the major Philly attractions as well as the Greyhound station. The staff were friendly and... More

I have stayed here for two nights on two different occasions. Actually this is my stay whenever I have to catch an early morning flight from Philadelphia. So I have stayed here only for nights and have not done much of the activities and not even had the breakfast that they offer. Now the main reason I choose this hostel... More

Loved this place. So clean. So comfortable. So friendly. Staff were super friendly and happy to talk to me about things to see and places to eat. General vibe of the place is just cosy and nice. Clean kitchen and laundry downstairs, comfortable lounge area on the street level. Free wifi, tea and coffee. I stayed in the girls dormitory,... More

A gem! Wonderful staff, clean, cheerful, quiet (though I might have been lucky that the club opposite had quiet customers these 2 nights and that my room mates were equally well behaved), but best hostel experience ever and by a very long way!

I spent 3 nights in the hostel. The hostel itself is very clean and well run. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location of the hostel is within walking distance of all the historical attractions in Old City. If attractions further out from Old city are on your list just walk around the corner to Market St. to... More

A fantastic hostel in a great location. Down a pretty alley in beautiful Old City, only 10 minutes walk from most of the major sights of Philly, including the Liberty Bell Centre, Independence Hall, Elfreth's Alley, the US Mint & Penn's Landing. There are lots of cafes & restaurants nearby on Market Street. The hostel is modern & clean, with... More

For the price, it is a very good hostel - comfortable bed, clean and lively. Even though more than 10 people are sharing a room, there was still privacy. Do note tho, they don't have elevators and the stairway is pretty narrow (for a huge luggage).

We stayed for 3 nights and had a fantastic time. It has everything the tired traveler craves - from free tea and coffee, to a comfy lounge with movie nights often showing new releases. The layout of the place is great - there are lots of pockets of areas to relax in including large couches, bean bags and bar stools... More
