Stayed at the hotel w/wife and children. Was initially concerned with the hotel based on the reviews found here on tripadvisor. I emailed the hotel management and sent along a link to the comments here. Within a few hours I had a response and the assurances from the manager that my room would be up to standard and that the... more

My wife and I decided to stay at the Sheraton Society Hill Hotel on Saturday night and then make a trip to the Jersey shore the following day. The hotel is in a great location (lot's of places within walking distance) and had a nice look about it. We were told that because we are club members, we had been... more

Society Hill area is great. The location is excellent. The building is OLD so you get some inconveniences added to your stay. The air conditioning unit is very loud when it turns on. If you were out all day like we were you don't hear it. We slept comfortably in our bed and we didn't suffer any lack of sleep... more

The location of the Society Hill is fantastic. In the middle of the Old City, it's walkable to just about anywhere you want to go--restaurants, Penn's Landing, shopping, historical highlights. Cabs are easy to get. The location is, in my opinion, the strongest plus. The accommodations, however, are hit or miss. Check-in was easy, even tho I checked in hours... more

Disgusting carpets. Rooms dark, dirty, smell of mold. Everything was heavily scented with air-freshener. Stains everywhere, the walls, the floors, etc. I went to check another room and the mattress had a huge brown stain dripping down the sides, the maid was just covering it up with a sheet. Room air conditioner rattled and smelled. I checked out without staying... more

I was a bit disappointed with this being a Sheraton hotel. I know its the location that jacks up the price but it was not at all worth it. Checkin No problems. Elevators They were being worked on so it seemed like they weren't all working all the time and they smelled like an auto shop. Room They are ok.... more

Nice hotel, near the hustle and bustle but very quiet location... perfect for all types of travelers. Close to Penn's Landing, Market St, Walnut St et al. Parking is a little bit steep.. I did not know much about the area but if you can find ahead of time, check around. You might find cheaper parking. more

Wonderful time spent in Philadelphia at the Sheraton Society Hill, which was located within walking distance to the historical sights, great bars & dining, and public transportation to see everything else. Check-in was late at night and staff was accommodating. A cozy and comfortable room & bed to relax in after a long trip. The room was even located across... more

I live in Philly and had to stay here while I was having my home remodeled. I chose this hotel after a because they were on a list of hotels that are dog friendly here in the city. The hotel itself is nice, clean and the location is excellent, I live just down the street and love the area. The... more
