As a facilitator for a recent corporate training seminar held at the Penns View Hotel, I was thrilled by the care and attention their staff provided for both participants and facilitators. From attending to specific custom needs in break-out rooms, to providing refreshingly delicious food choices, the entire staff created an unusually responsive, personal, comfortable, and charming environment that enhanced... The hotel is in a good location, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was included and there was fruit, toast, muffins and a waffle maker but they were slow replenishing. The hotel is near the freeway which made it quite noisy and we didn't get a great nights sleep as a result. Maybe there are other... More

This was truly a pilgrimage for a history follower like me. I came to Philadelphia for the attractions but the hotel was right on par. The hotel is within walking distance of allot of restaurants and the historic attractions. The room was very nice and had no problem with it. Great little balcony. You do have to pal in a... More

Our stay at Penn's View Hotel, though only one night, was one of our nicest hotel stays ever--and that's saying a lot, because we travel quite a bit in the US and internationally. We have stayed at various types of lodging, from cabins to chain hotels, and although we don't require luxury, we do need a good night's sleep. Usually... More

Our stay at the Penn View was GREAT! It is a small historic hotel that has been remodeled. We choose the room with king bed and whirlpool tub. After walking the city, the whirlpool was wonderful. The location is next to the river, subway is around the corner as well as the bus stops, walking distance to EVERYTHING! The staff... More

I stayed here with my daughter and we both loved it. Our room was nicely decorated and the bathroom had a huge shower as well as good quality freebies. It was easy to find and the location was excellent with the main historic sights within easy walking distance as well as Betsy Ross's House and the charming Elfreth's Alley. The... More

This hotel was in the perfect location for our recent trip to Philly. Within walking distance to the City Center and historical sites. The hotel has a great ambience and old world charm. Our room was comfortable and accommodated our needs. The free breakfast is a nice perk and the staff made sure it was constantly stocked even during the... More

Had a great stay here while in town for a conference nearby. I was hoping for something with a little more character than the conference hotel, and I found it in this well-maintained 19th century building. The staff was wonderfully nice, the room was more than comfortable and the location was right there amid the restaurants and cobblestone alleys of... More

I absolutely loved out room. It was fairly large, with a queen bed, fireplace (very romantic), jacuzzi. The bed was extremely comfortable, and it was pleasant to have the fireplace in the middle of winter. I, however, had hoped for a nicer breakfast, since the hotel had a restaurant attached. Standard Continental Breakfast fare.
