I live 20 minutes from the Chestnut Hill Hotel, yet each year around this time I very much look forward to celebrating the Chinese New Year because I stay at "The Hotel" after the celebration ends, I love the creaking of the floor boards that you never get in a newer overnight establishment. The bed, and this year I had... More

My stay at the Chestnut Hill hotel was very nice, the hotel it was clean, the room was updated and it was quiet. I was there for two nights; I got to know the front desk attendant Michelle very well. She was extremely professional as was, Lindsey and Nate. They were very inviting and accommodating. I did not know that... More

I chose to stay at Chestnut Hill Hotel because I heard the area was very nice. I was visiting to look at schools in City Center. First the front desk staff isn't very friendly. We received our key and went up to the room and the key didn't work. Went back to the front desk and she said she gave... More

My Positives: Free Parking, magnifying mirror in bathroom, mini fridge in room, bedside lights that allow reading without disturbing your sleeping partner, continental breakfast on real china and silverware and there is a restaurant available on location as well as right next door. (Chestnut Hill Grill and Paris) We were grateful to stay at the Chestnut Hill Hotel over a... More

Bias alert: we live 3 blocks away and we already know Chestnut Hill in Philadelphia to be the most charming and livable neighborhood in America. Our home heater died necessitating a 3 day stay while waiting for repair. Incredibly satisfying stay. Rooms: spotless/spatkling, updated, high tech yet charmingly traditional. The halls: art, original sketches and maps of the neighborhood, and... More

Early in December we stayed at this property for our anniversary. Asked for a room with a fireplace and it was lovely. Cost was a bit more than a standard room but it was great! Room was located in the Carriage House behind the hotel so it was even a bit quieter too. Continental breakfast was wonderful served with real... More

This a wonderful place with spacious, quiet rooms in the heart of bustling Chestnut Hill. The staff is eager to help, but discreet. I loved the small touches that say comfort--lighted closet, L'Occitane toiletries, plush robe. The prices are quite reasonable for this high level of service.

I enjoyed my experience at this hotel ONLY AFTER being able to change rooms, to a room that looked like the pictures shown on the website and most shown on Tripadvisor (I now see one picture on Tripadvisor similar to where I was placed - the "barn annex"). I stayed in the Carriage House, which was on the side of... More
