It is difficult to find a Truly unique and charming hotel. But the Chestnut Hill Hotel is such a place. The complimentary breakfast features real china and silver plate flatware and the walls are robust with historical photos and architectural plans. This place has had a renaissance in the past year. The back of the hotel features a modern water... More

We got lost on our way to Philadelphia and when finally got there it had already got dark and we found ourselves in a middle of a very unpleasant, dangerous neighbourhood. We found this hotel literally by mistake but when they said what the rate was we realized we could not afford it. When we explained what we had experienced... More

When I asked my husband what we were doing for our wedding Anniversary, he told me "Pack your bags we are going to Paris!" Paris was certainly out of the questions considering we just bought a new home, but to my great surprise he took me to The Chestnut Hill Hotel and dinner at Paris. We spent the night removed... More

Rooms were modern, well appointed, and very clean.Actually wished we had planned to spend another night and will go back again. Breakfast was more upscale than the usual free breakfast. Bar/restaurant on site was excellent. Parking was a... More

Great location near Wissahickon park and many dog friendly restaurants. Very clean and fantastic service. The rooms are large, quiet and nicely appointed. Refrigerator in the room was a very nice surprise. With a less than 1 mile walk you can be in the park hiking with your furry family member, on the way back drop them off at Bone... More

We were doing renovations on our house and needed a place to stay that was close to the house. The staff was extremely helpful. The room was beautiful. The breakfast was very good. Everything was perfect.

We liked the mismatched floral china in the Bombay Room at breakfast, the prints of old Philadelphia scenes, the quirky ceramic piece in the lobby, and the cafe with seating on the porch. Right around the corner is a mini Reading Terminal-type market. Germantown Avenue here is great for strolling: little shops, restaurants, a bakery with an adjunct selling Bassett's... More

Dear Marguerite B, Thank you for choosing to stay at the Chestnut Hill Hotel. We are happy to hear you enjoyed your stay. The Hotel is filled with historic photographs, documenting the history of the Hotel and the area. It is almost like a mini museum; guests can wander each floor and learn many interesting facts. The decorative ceramic head... More

This hotel is situated in the outskirts of Philly with wonderful shops and of course the Iron Hill Brewery. Parking can be difficult as the car park is shared by the local market but the lovely attendant will make sure hotel guests get a space. The entrance to the hotel from the car park is beautifully landscaped and inviting. We... More

I was in the area on business, so the hotel was chosen for me. I was pleasantly surprised by the whole experience in this small hotel: lovely, knowledgeable staff, comfortable and aesthetically pleasing accommodations, such as the lovely china at breakfast. I'd be happy to stay there again.

Visiting my sister and brother in law who live outside of Philly, my husband and I stayed at The Chestnut Hill Hotel.
