We stayed here for 5 nights while visiting Philly over the 4th of July. The hotel is unique in that it is in a historic neighborhood with great shopping and dining options. The hotel was clean, quiet, and charming. The bed was super comfortable! The restaurant next door, the Paris Bistro, was absolutely amazing! Great choice for couples! Also, the... More

Chestnut Hill in Philadelphia looks and feels almost like historic America, with some residual flavor of an English village. The Chestnut Hill Hotel is a perfect fit. Comfortable, well-furnished well-equipped rooms with superb beds, a simple but efficient complementary breakfast area. Despite all this, prices are pleasantly moderate. The hotel is flanked by a busy bar and popular French-stye brasserie. The... More

Stayed in the suite at the Chestnut Hill Hotel for two evenings while in Philadelphia. What a wonderful experience! Wish I would've stayed in this hotel longer! Anna at the front desk was extremely helpful and kind. She offered great suggestions for dinner and gave us complimentary water before bed. For us, Anna, as a representation of the staff, really... We made reservation at this hotel and got an email confirmation that everything was set. We are from out of state were enjoying the day seeing the Philadelphia sites so we didn't arrive to the hotel until 6pm in time to check in and go to dinner. When we arrived, they had no record of our confirmation even as I... More

I usually avoid boutique hotels. I find them typically stuffy, pretentious, and over priced. But this hotel is definitely an exception. First, it's impeccably clean. There's an attention to detail that's out of the ordinary. Next, it's funky, eclectic, and really comfortable. The decor is modern but not over the top. The linens are high thread count and high quality.... More

Chestnut Hill Hotel was the family hotel for a wedding. We knew nothing about the place. But this historic structure did not disappoint. Situated in the midst of fun shopping and numerous excellent dining options, and only a thirty minute train ride from Philly, the large, modern rooms and friendly staff did not disappoint. Anna, in particular, could not have... More

Best hotel. We always feel clean in this little Euro style hotel. All the charm of an European hotel but with modern conveniences...wifi, flat screen. Great shower and L'Occitane goodies! A must visit hotel.

My wife and I were looking for a place to stay in Philly on a trip through the area. Since neither of us had ever been to the city, we were originally looking for somewhere to stay downtown so that we could more easily experience the city. However, when I went to book, all the hotels in center city were... More

The Chestnut Hill hotel is right in the heart of a very trendy, upscale neighborhood. The hotel is a beautifully restored building, and shares a space with a bar/restaurant, with another bistro next door, a health food restaurant and a small series of shops right behind it. The courtyard is trendy, featuring water sculptures and artwork, the lobby is elegant.... More
