Stayed during memorial day weekend. This is one of those hotels where pictures on Expedia and other sites represent an idealized version of what it is. Pros: Conveniently located near many shops in central Philadelphia. Complimentary Starbucks coffee in the morning. Located inside a shopping complex with Starbucks in the ground floor. Good service by friendly staff. Cons: very dated.... More

I did not stay at this hotel, but attended a small banquet there. Easily the WORST experience I have ever had at a banquet. The food was awful, everyone took one bite of an identifiable fish dish and grimaced--some even spit it out--so awful. What looked like a filet of beef was some sort of molded beef item--truly odd. I... More

This lovely remnant of old Philadelphia society and it's center city location make this hotel a very interesting and accommodating place to stay. Our large king room was showing it's age, but the interior location overlooking the Atrium Conservatory provided the quietest nights of sleep one would want in the heart of a busy, big city.

As Hyatt Gold Passport members my wife and I were graciously welcomed and enjoyed the pool, comfortable and clean room, and delicious breakfast. We liked that we were in walking distance to Indepedence Hall, the U.S. Mint and many other attractions. The staff was friendly and attentive. We used the phone chargers and television. Plenty of ice was available. We... More

It was my 50th medical school reunion and the dinner was in the hotel. The staff was gracious, accommodating, and helpful. The room was very good, clean and no complaints about it. I had planned two night stay but chose to add a day and the hotel extended my stay very easily.

This is a wonderful historic grand hotel with a beautiful restaurant on the top floor. Great for special occasions. We appreciated the architecture and the fantastic view. You will not be disappointed.

Thank you for choosing to stay at the historical Hyatt at The Bellevue. I'm so pleased that you enjoyed your time with us and that you enjoyed our top floor XIX (NINETEEN) Restaurant. This building opened in September of 1904 and the architecture is French Renaissance Style! We look forward to welcoming you back very soon! Kind regards, CR More

I was really disappointed by my stay at this hotel. Like others have mentioned, the hotel is in a great location near Rittenhouse square with lots of great restaurants nearby. The building's exterior is beautiful; the interior lobby, is a bit of a let down as was the first room (a suite) that was offered. It was poorly lit and... More

Food was fresh, nice selection of salads, appetizers. Loved the crab cake entree and the mahi mahi special. Staff very attentive and helpful. Enjoyed the experience. The decor is old yes, but I was there for the food which did not disappoint.

Given the choice between a new hotel or a classic I always choice the classic. Being from Philly I always have had a warm spot for the Bellevue. It is a beautiful hotel with old world charm. However that old world charm wears thin when you are trying to sleep and can hear everything from the hallway. Due to a... More

A very beautiful and historic building that they are trying to make into a fancy hotel....with mixed results. The first room we had - a so-called suite - was pleasant, but with a very small desk and very poor lighting. The second room, also called a suite, though it wasn't, was on the interior atrium. Dark and dim and watch... More
