I do love staying at this hotel. I guess I really dig old-school charm. This is a older building in the Center of Center City Philly that has had its share of glory days, boom, bust and boom. Architecturally interesting, with extra large room sizes & big windows, and a historic feeling this hotel appeals where many of today's big... More

We stayed here to attend our son's medical school graduation. The auditorium was 2 blocks away. Great choice. Loved the large room, high ceilings, and large bathroom. The staff was professional and kind. The decor oozes history and elegance. It was fun to walk around within the hotel and imagine an earlier era.

We just returned from a delightful two night stay at this property. The stay could not have been more pleasant. We are very loyal Hyatt customers and we let the hotel know that we were taking advantage of a long weekend to celebrate our 15th anniversary. The hotel staff went out of their way to make this special as they... More

This hotel has it all. The staff take pride and ownership in making the Guests feel cared for. The restaurant on 19 was SO awesome (both quality of food and service). We stayed over the 4th of July weekend, the hotel was busy, but never missed a beat on service. Room was great, just can't say enough about this cool... More

This is a great hotel that has been renovated but kept its Victorian style. Its like walking into an English palace(wallpaper, lamps, beds, showers, etc.). Nonetheless its a great hotel that is center city Philly which allows you to get anywhere easily. We checked in on a Saturday and around 5pm the lobby offered free wine(happy hour). Cabs, SEPTA(subway), NJ... More

Service at this hotel is top of the line. The bar XIX was great for some evening drinks. The bedroom was perfect. Only issue was the sirens going off in the middle of the night due to a power outage. From 2 am until 3 am the sirens just kept going off stating the hotel was having some type of... More

Absolutely gorgeous and well preserved/maintained piece of old Philadelphia. Location is outstanding, right on South Broad St., although the entrance is in an alleyway and was easy ( for me) to miss. Rooms ,corridors, ambience are like being transported back in time, expected to see the Astors or Guggenheims strolling down the hallway. The grand ballroom is a must-see as... More

Stayed here after a phillies game since it's so close to the stadium like a 15 min drive or you can even just take the subway. There was a wedding happening, but it wasn't noisy while we were in our room. We were up on a high floor so that was nice and we didn't hear much traffic noise. You... More

Went for a getaway weekend. One of the grand dames of Philadelphia. Built in early 1920s but and has retained its stately charm despite many renovations. Great location for just about anything to do in Philly. Walking distance to just about all dining, shopping and historical areas. The subway just out the front door takes you to the stadium area in... More

Great central location and lovely public areas. Stayed for a conference and the hotel managed the logistics and food smoothly (at least from the participant perspective). Room service was prompt and good. Room was large but was apparently part of a suite...the only window looked right into the patio of the adjacent room: a little creepy when those guests decided...
