Even though the reviews were not good, I decided to go with the convenience and security of staying attached to the hospital. I was staying two nights while my husband was hospitalized for surgery. We left home at 4 a.m. to be at the hospital at 6 a.m. It was hours between recovery and being moved to a room. I... more

PEOPLE!!!! This Hotel is Excellent when a loved one is in HUP!!!! My wife was there for three days for surgery. We live 90 minutes away, so I choose to stay in Philly. The bad reviews almost made me find another hotel, and I’m glad I DIDN’T!! The Hotel is connected to the hospital by an enclosed walkway over the... more

I stayed here while my son had surgery at the Univ. of Penn Hospital. Considering the lack of amenities and the overall condition of the rooms, the $145/night for the room was ridiculous. I read the reviews before booking my room, and since there were some favorable reviews, and since I wanted convenience more than anything else, I felt that... more

We came to be close to our family at the time of our grandson's cranial operation at CHOP. We read the reviews written by others prior to our arrival but were not deterred by the negative comments. The hotel staff was most friendly and accomidating. The facility was very clean and pleasant. The fact that it is adjacent to the... more

My family and I stayed at Penn Tower Hotel for two weeks when my Dad was admitted to the Univ. of Penn Hospital. The price is high for what the hotel offers, but the convienience of the hotel to the hospital was worth the price to have my Mom close. The room was decent. The bathroom was dirty, the sink... more

The hotel was not the nicest of places but it got the job done and was walking distance of the nearby Penn Hospital. Even though some things didn't work, it definitely made up for it with its breathtaking views of the skyline of the city of Philadelphia and its view of Franklin Field. I would definitely stay there again. more

Being from out of the area, I don't care how negative the reviews are for this hotel, it has been a lifesaver for us this winter! With the bad weather and several stages of surgery I've had to go through, we have been very thankful for a hotel so close that we could stay the night and be ready for... more

If it were not for the fact that this hotel is the most convenient to the Hospital, which is a must when you have a grandmother in the ICU and a grandfather who is in a wheelchair who needs to take midday naps in between visits, I would never stay in this hotel even if you paid me. Dirty, smelly,... more

From the outside the hotel looks great. Thats were it ends I was supiciuos when I got on the elevator because it had an ordor. The front desk did'nt look like your typical front desk. We had stayed at Penn Towers before when my husband had to be at the University Hospital, and it was always comfortable and very convenient. What a change this time! The two bedside lamps didn't work and the TV volume was so low we couldn't hear so we called for maintenance. They fixed the lamps but couldn't do anything about... more
