I read all of the reviews before booking this hotel, however it was a cheapest and had a great location and I was really just looking for a place to sleep. The room itself wasn't terrible- clean, bathroom organized a bit oddly but it was functional. However the problem came around midnight when someone started screaming or crying until about... more

Yes a great location and acceptable rooms but not worth the unpredictable stress. I've never written a bad hotel review but had to take the time to do so in this case. The planned 2 night stay here was a nightmare. On arrival we were told the elevator wasn't working (this is not uncommon) .My mother is disabled and the... more

For an affordable, uncomplicated and comfortable stay in central Philly, this place can't be beat. Just a few blocks from the Convention Center and the Market East station, where trains to and from the airport stop; near excellent dining and shopping; and steps away from the bars, clubs, and restaurants of the gay district. As a guest here you can... more

The Rodeway Inn Center City Philadelphia at 12th and Walnut is a perfect location in Center City to shop, tour and sight-see. The hotel is an old 7 story building and updated quite cheaply. The hotel has so much potential to be a fabulous boutique hotel under the right management/owners and hotel operators, but what does one expect from a... more

I stayed 2 nights with no regrets. Yes the room was small as was the elevator but overall it was clean and comfortable. The bathroom had a working jacuzzi, plenty of towels and some nice extras like shaving cream, razor, toothbrush and toothpaste, pocket comb, and of course, soaps and shampoo. The room had a large screen TV with at... more

I planned to stay two nights with my partner to go to museums and enjoy the city. We cut it short by one night. The hotel has an antiquated elevator (doors on ground floor close manually), have machines on each floor dispensing air freshener (what are they trying to mask?), a hotel staff that has had NO training. Our room... more

I was in Philadelphia for a business trip. My room was booked in advance, but when I arrived they told me they had given my room to somebody else. Instead I got a tiny room with shower/toilet on the other side of the corridor. There was no heat in the room. I finally got a portable heater that dried the... more

This is NOT a luxury hotel. The building is old, but serviceable. The elevator is narrow and a little difficult to navigate, but it works fine. The rooms are clean but a little worn (toilet bowl was clean but badly scratched in mine). Staff were a little reserved at first, but helpful and friendly after I made a minimal effort... more

We stayed only one night and we actually liked our room at the beginning. Unfortunately, the staff did their best to ruin our stay there. The housekeeping knocked the door very early in the morning (although we had the sign for not disturb in the door). When we came back at night the room wasn't clean. When we left the... more

Except for the elevator not working the hotel was not too bad. I will admit elderly or handicapped people may find the stairs a little hard to deal with. Great location-close to all city center attractions. Room was fine and the staff was very friendly and helpful. more
