I stayed here with my husband and our two teenage children during the month of August. I had done a lot of research on Philly hotels as this was our first time in the city. I couldn't have been more satisfied with this choice. I read all of the reviews on tripadvisor and, although there were many very positive comments,... more

The Courtyard is in a great location in the city center, within walking distance of historic sites, many excellent restaurants, good shopping and the Amtrak station. The hotel is a historic building (originally built in the 20's) which has been refurbhished. It does have a grand look and feel that takes one back in time when one first enters the... more

August 8, 2008 I would rate my stay here as a 10. My family checked in on Thursday at 11 AM and was given a room ASAP. The room is clean, and big enough for three. We were given a choice of lower or higher floors. The only thing that I did not like was the hallway had a certain... more

We found the staff at this hotel to be very friendly and helpful. We were given a corner room that was spacious and looked out on the city hall and fountains on one side. We were on the fifth floor, so there was a lot of city noise. If you are a light sleeper, ask for a higher floor, or... more

This is a great refurbished historical building right across the street from City Hall. Very friendly and helpful staff. The room was clean and modern. It is very close to Reading Terminal Market (2 blocks - great cheesesteaks and a great breakfast place run by the Quakers). It is also close to other chains such as Chili's, Maggiano's, Hard Rock... more

We chose this hotel based on reviews & location to the Philadelphia Convention Center. Front desk & guest services staff are rude. Rooms are average, but bathrooms not as clean as one would expect of a Marriott property. If you can get a good rate for this hotel & need to be close to convention center, then it is convenient.... more

Excellent hotel, close to all the wonderful places to see in Philadelphia. Felt very safe in the area around the hotel, even returning late in the evening. Staff very friendly and the accomodation very clean. more

Staying at the Courtyard was pleasant. The rooms are your typical hotel rooms. They were very clean and comfortable. I didn't check out the pool or the restaurant, so I am unsure about those. But it was easy to walk to the major sights--the Liberty Bell/Independence Hall, down along the river, and South Street, etc. Overall I enjoyed my stay. more

Loved the atmosphere of this hotel. Very historic, lovely architecture, clean and well kept. Was the annex of the city hall at one time. One of three Marriotts on the block. Upon arrival, they were "pre-registering" and would call us when our rooms were ready. That was certainly acceptable, as they took our bags to the holding area for us... more

My wife and I stayed at this Courtyard during the Independence weekend. All I can say is "Oh Wow". The location is wonderful. The train station is only two blocks away. We took the train directly from the airport (Train ticket is cash only). The Reading Terminal Market is a block away which you can enjoy a lot of good... more
