The only reason I gave it two stars was because the bed was comfortable, the bedding decent, and the room was clean enough (although the carpet seriously needs to be replaced.) Otherwise, I'd say this place is pretty much an overpriced dump. First off, I was pretty shocked that you have to check-in at their trashy bar. Not a good... More

No phone, No coffee maker, Hair (lots) in the bottom of the shower unit. Big cobwebs in the corners. No discount for breakfast, have to check in at the busy noisey Bar. Updated?????? the bedding perhaps. Bottom line.... a hell of a nerve charging 79.00 for this dump. We Paid the same price at Fidaglo Country Inn.... 50 times better... More

This an old place that is a bit overpriced for what it is, but the bed was comfortable and clean and there was no crazy noise at night - also a good location. Considering that everything else in the Coupeville area are mostly expensive B & B's, this was OK. However, we were with a group and the 2 couples... More

This was a last min. trip, all other hotels there being a little spendy and full. Check in at the bar?? I looked at the web site before making reservations. Decided they would do. Get there get our keys, they are having a new roof put on the restaurant, which went on to 7pm. The TV's didn't work, the staff... More

The motel is clean and comfortable. The price is right. We came in late and left early the next morning. After spending several nights in hotels and motels for much more, it was a relief to take a break. The walls are thin but the bed is comfy and it is clean. The breakfast was terrific as were the people.... More

My companion and I needed an affordable place to stay during a recent road trip to Whidbey Island. Coupeville has a number of trendy/spendy B&Bs, but each was either booked or too expensive. The Tyee fit the bill for $69, where we found a clean, bright room with basic amenities. Check in at the bar was easy enough. (The restaurant... More

The room was clean and quiet. Not fancy, but comfortable. Rooms are rented through the restaurant and bar, but in a separate building.

The previous reviewer had it about right - it's not that the place is so bad, it's that it's priced way above its class. I was bicycle-touring and I'm not real picky, but... Here are a few things you do without at the Tyee: a DEADBOLT (important because the door opens to the parking lot); 3-HOLE SOCKETS (so unable to... More

From the impression I got on the internet, we were expecting an older quaint little hotel. We stayed there in Sept 09. For $80 a night to stay in an old motel, right next to a pub it was a bit of a surprise. The room was not in very good shape, the carpet was in need of being replaced,... More

We stayed here because it was close to the ferry terminal and we had reservations on the early morning ferry to Port Townsend. There is really not too much in Coupeville - we drove back to Oak Harbor for dinner. The room is definitely no frills and somewhat dated. It was kind of weird checking in at the associated restaurant.... More
