We recently stayed at The fort Casey inn cottage number 6 and had a great time. The cottage is so quaint and filled with hi sorry you could just imagine the General waking up in the morning drinking his coffee on the porch! The beds were clean, kitchen well stocked, and bath with the claw foot tub interesting. The entire... More

Fort Casey Inn is our families favorite place to stay when we visit the island. For the past few years we have stayed for holiday weekends with our friends families staying each in a different house. It is a perfect place to stay when you want to be close to others but want your own space and the full kitchen... More

Stayed at Fort Casey April 2013, and at Camp Casey dorm-style barracks this month for workshops. CAMP CASEY: Downstairs dorm room was bare bones basic, with 2 twin beds and a dresser with mirror, 2 racks for hanging, but only if you brought your own hangers. Downstairs dorm was cold this time of year, although shared bathroom was toasty enough.... More

Hi Merrywoman, Thanks for giving a review of BOTH our spaces. Not everyone gets to experience our dorms or open bay barracks at Camp Casey. They are definitely not for everyone, but can be more affordable for some. I’m delighted you stayed also at Fort Casey Inn and had a pleasant experience. We think the Inn is a unique, quiet... More

This is currently our favorite place in Washington state to unwind. The star of Fort Casey Inn is its location. Such a beautiful, idyllic setting overlooking grass, trees, wildlife (deer and bunnies!), and water. It's adjacent to the amazing Fort Casey State Park and very accessibile to Coupeville and everything else Central Whidbey has to offer. The next best thing... More

Hi Nina, Thank you so much for your response. What a lovely event you had with all your family! I love that you described it as a mini-village. I think it’s one of the hidden locations on the Island to retreat with those you love and hope to reconnect. Best of luck and thanks for the great review! We’d love... More

I stayed in a Captain's house with a front porch that begged you to sit and enjoy the view. Take family and friends with you. There's plenty of room and lots of places to explore, just within walking distance, like Admiralty Head Lighthouse.

Thanks for taking the time to recap some of our time at our Inn. We’re glad you took time to sit on the front porch and hope you were able to see a local deer or two in your travels. More

Fort Casey Inn was a perfect place for us to gather with friends. Each family had their own space. The rooms and living areas were spacious. All the kids (10) could gather in the living room to play games and the parents enjoy time on the porch. As we checked out we were ready to book it for the next... More

We were glad to find this getaway spot- for my husband and myself and our two girls ages 7 and 10. The homes feel like home- and are great for a family like ours-full kitchen for making breakfast or dinner (sparing us the expense of eating in restaurants the length of our stay), two bedrooms that have plenty of space... We rented one of the cottages for a weekend. It was a wonderful stay. The cottages still have that old feel, real banging screen doors, large kitchen with everything that one would need, it is furnished like one as stepped into another time, but with everything modern that anyone would need. it is difficult to describe. From the front, upstairs... More

Our stay was March 3-5, 2012 When my sister and I decided we wanted to take a Spring vacation weekend we thought about the Coupeville Mussel Festival since it had recently been featured in our Sunday paper’s travel section. Thank you for taking the time to visit us and review. The Mussel Festival is a great time to visit the Island. We are updating our mattresses at the Inn and have taken note of your comments. There were 6 of us, 2 adults and 4 kids 3-13. We had so much fun wandering the beach, visiting the battlements, watching the orcas, sea lions, seals, and playing in the water. Thank you for your comments about your stay. We too love the pool in the summer and the bike idea is a great one! Some guests also bring binoculars to check out the bird watching on Crockett Lake or behind their rental! We hope you'll come back again. More
