My son and I decided to visit Devils Tower National Monument on our way back from Omaha. We checked out the national park camp sites and opted for the KOA since it had clean showers, water and power at the camp site. Also, they show "Close Encounters of 3rd Kind" each evening with the tower in the background... very cool.... More

Was pleased to see the KOA so near the monument. This was my first time staying at a KOA. We were able to choose our tent site. It had a great view of the tower. There was a nice community bonfire. The bathrooms and showers were clean. Unfortunately the sprinkler was left on all night and it was quite loud.

If you are planning on staying more than one day near Devil's Tower, it would be worth your time to consider Devil's Tower KOA. My family and I stayed one night in the "Park Model" cabin. It was large and sleeps 4 but there is also a loft that my kids enjoyed. There was a lot of fun things for... More

The campsite boasts that it sits at the base of Devils Tower and it does indeed. The staff was friendly and helpful. By KOA standards the sites were larger than usual. Campfires are not allowed at some sites. They do offer a group campfire ring, and they provide the wood and keep it going. However, if you want a fire... More

Thank you for your comments Helen and Mike! We are working hard to provide our guests with the best experience possible in our rural area; including friendly, helpful staff and great campsites. I apologize for the weather and flooding in the tent sites. Unfortunately, we had an especially wet summer. As we look to our next summer we are reviewing... More

Devil's Tower KOA was expensive and provided very little compared to other KOA sites. The shower facilities were horrid! Washer and dryer center -- most machines were broken and all were very poorly maintained!!! Good children's play area which kept my two entertained for a good while. Basically, the campground is in a perfect location so that's a definite plus... More

On a tent camping vacation, we included Devils Tower on our agenda. But by the time we arrived on a Saturday evening, rain was threatening. We didn't want to risk setting up our tent in the rain so we took everything out of our van that could get wet (plastic bins) and left it outside. That created some room. Our... More

First great location. Couldn't be better for devils tower. Bit surprised that told to pitch tent in open area with sites not marked out. Was ok but if very busy might not have been. Communal campfires- noisy after quiet hours. Wifi useless. Staff seemed only interested in selling hayrides. No real service. Grocery store very overpriced. Laundry tumble dryers did... More

This large KOA camp is perfectly positioned for anyone visiting Devils Tower and seeking an overnight. We reserved in advance online (lucky we did because it was fully booked) and we were checked-in easily and helpfully when we arrived. Our pitch was extremely muddy and looking at others around the camp, there were a lot of pitches in a similar... More

Our experience camping in a tent in a non-electric site was excellent. We were able to set up where we wanted, away from campers and RV's, in a quiet spot with plenty of open space. The campground is at the base of Devils Tower. The children enjoyed the pool and recumbent bike rentals. However, this KOA has some issues that... More

Well, the view from our cabin was wonderful. We had just left another KOA in SD and had high expectations. The one in SD was clean and well maintained. We decided to get a cabin and it was okay. It did the job that we needed it to. I've read a couple other reviews and I would have to agree... More
