This was a completely different vacation for us we are usually beach and umbrella drink types. We decided to give the outdoors a try and we loved it. This lodge was built in 1924 they have rooms in the main building and lots of newer updated cabins. We stay in the elite two bedroom suite "top of the lodge". The... More

We've stayed at Tamarack Lodge a number of times and we keep going back. I would classify this as a relaxed, semi-rustic lodge experience. You can rent separate cabins of various sizes. Most cabins have a small but very nice deck where you can sit in the sun in the morning and evenings. Most cabins also have small but fully... More

My family has just returned from our yearly trip to Tamarack Lodge. As usual, the staff at the front desk, the housekeeping staff and all employees we came in contact with during our week long stay were helpful, friendly and very pleasant. Our cabin was very clean and was equipped with everything we needed in the kitchen. We enjoyed the... More

This was our first visit to the area. The cabins are charming and comfortable and we enjoyed the lake view. Our only disappointment was the continental breakfast offering which was really porr and quite honestly not worth the walk over nor the extra $20/day "resort fee"-not clear why there is a fee in the first place? Another suggestion, which is... More

My first time to Mammoth Lakes California. We decided to stay at the Tamarack Lodge & Resort. Best decision I've ever made. The cabin we stayed in was great. The staff was pretty awesome. They were so accommodating!! When we got to the front desk to check in. We were greeted with a cup of lemonade. Lol.... that was really... More

Quiet location in the center and had a lake view. Do not expect perfect. The cabin is rustic but had all we needed. Kitchenette was fully functional for two. Jeremy was great behind the front desk. He went the extra mile.

What we choose was the room inside the main building. Classical style let us have a good impression. Room space is not large but comfortable. Sound insulation is not quite good but everybody followed the rule so no one make noise after 10pm. The bed is excellent that my wife and I had wonderful sleeping quality during the three nights... Truly wonderful place to stay, among the pines around Mammoth Lakes. Great staff, beautiful room, and superb restaurant. Would go back there in a heartbeat. Surrounded by stunning scenery and some great outdoor activities.

This was our first visit to the Tamarack Lodge and we will definately be back. The hotel, although built in 1924 and quite rustic, is very comfortable, clean and cozy. We stayed in a room in the lodge with it's own bathroom (some of the rooms have bathrooms down the hall) overlooking the lake. All knotty pine interior with walls... More

We have enjoyed the Tamarack Lodge more than once. If you're looking for glamour, chrome and glass, go somewhere else. If gorgeous mountain lakes, alpine terrain, hiking, biking and just plain relaxing sound good to you, than you owe yourself a summer stay at the Tamarack Lodge. We love the rustic cabins and greeted each day sitting on the front... More
