Enjoy the staying in a comfortable and charming room. During the morning in end of summer, wake up early, have breakfast and get a bike for riding the mountain. You will have a really nice view of Lava Dome and nature. Get back for the lunch with a pretty view and go to the city enjoy this nice place. I... More

Stopped for one night on a road trip in one of the rooms with a shared bathroom. Nice room but perhaps a little small. All very clean and very friendly service. Good wine selection and a pleasant lounge to spend the evening. Which is good given it's about a 10 minute ride to town.

We loved the historic mountain lodge. Not so much being woken by the loud banging water pipes when other rooms used showers or toilets in the morning. We loved the welcoming and eager staff. Not so much the rusty water coming out of the bathroom faucet. Continental breakfast got old by the 3rd morning...this hotel is famous for its pricy... More

This was a completely different vacation for us we are usually beach and umbrella drink types. We decided to give the outdoors a try and we loved it. This lodge was built in 1924 they have rooms in the main building and lots of newer updated cabins. We stay in the elite two bedroom suite "top of the lodge". The... More

We've stayed at Tamarack Lodge a number of times and we keep going back. I would classify this as a relaxed, semi-rustic lodge experience. You can rent separate cabins of various sizes. Most cabins have a small but very nice deck where you can sit in the sun in the morning and evenings. Most cabins also have small but fully... More

My family has just returned from our yearly trip to Tamarack Lodge. As usual, the staff at the front desk, the housekeeping staff and all employees we came in contact with during our week long stay were helpful, friendly and very pleasant. Our cabin was very clean and was equipped with everything we needed in the kitchen. We enjoyed the... More

This was our first visit to the area. The cabins are charming and comfortable and we enjoyed the lake view. Our only disappointment was the continental breakfast offering which was really porr and quite honestly not worth the walk over nor the extra $20/day "resort fee"-not clear why there is a fee in the first place? Another suggestion, which is... More

My first time to Mammoth Lakes California. We decided to stay at the Tamarack Lodge & Resort. Best decision I've ever made. The cabin we stayed in was great. The staff was pretty awesome. They were so accommodating!! When we got to the front desk to check in. We were greeted with a cup of lemonade. Lol.... that was really... More

Quiet location in the center and had a lake view. Do not expect perfect. The cabin is rustic but had all we needed. Kitchenette was fully functional for two. Jeremy was great behind the front desk. He went the extra mile.

What we choose was the room inside the main building. Classical style let us have a good impression. Room space is not large but comfortable. Sound insulation is not quite good but everybody followed the rule so no one make noise after 10pm. The bed is excellent that my wife and I had wonderful sleeping quality during the three nights...
