The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I was actually on a business trip, but wanted a tranquil place to escape to. I needed to finish preparing a presentation, but my laptop charger was malfunctioning. The staff allowed me to finish up my presentation in the registration office. Marcus and Megan saved the day for me!! Many thanks for your... More

A beautiful location worthy of a movie set! Down the drive, twin lakes on one side of your car door and the gorgeous old log lodge on the other. We had cabin 33. A little worn but clean with all you needed including a wonderfully built fire in the stove where all you had to do was strike the match.... More

I recently traveled to Mammoth Lakes, California, from June 16 - 20. I wanted to stay in Mammoth and travel to Bodie ghost town so I could photograph it for two, consecutive days. I like staying in Mammoth when I photograph Bodie and the Eastern Sierra. I was originally booked at one hotel in town, but I really did not... More

Our first time at Tamarack...studio cabin for two...lakefront...wow! provides all you need for a quiet, relaxing forest/lake/cabin-in-the-woods experience..the small "ancient" cabins remind one of the Yosemite Valley cabins from the "old days." They are clean and serviceable with a well-stocked kitchenette...bathroom with shower is bare-bones simple, but all one needs...daily maid service provides fresh towels, linens, shower supplies. Staff attitude... More

As a resident of California for over fifteen years and a location scout by trade, I thought I'd seen the finest landscapes in our Golden State. Of course this was prior to my visit to Tamarack Lodge at Mammoth Lakes. Never have I encountered such a wealth of natural splendor within one 360 degree view. Sunrise revealed the enchanting Twin... We stayed in a studio cabin with gas fireplace. As we would arrive late, I had called ahead to notify the hotel. They made sure to leave the key in an envelope with instructions at the reception, so check in was very easy. When we arrived at the cabin it was already dark and had just started to snow (in... Tamarack Lodge's cabins feel like a home to us. Staff is always welcoming. We go in early June or late September to avoid crowds. We stay in Studio Cabins, because they're big 'enough' for the 2 of us, and we have our favorite cabins.. (sorry, not sharing). We reserve well in advance, booking directly with the Lodge's front desk staff.... More

After the trip from LV, arriving in this sea of tranquility is just the ticket. Taking a quick paddle in the lake before the most stunning dinner.... It was such a revaluation of uniques and taste sensations. The wine paring is brilliant and has left us feeling in a mini nirvana. Wish we could have stayed longer. The lake and... More

We stayed in a Deluxe 2-Bedroom Cabin (#4) and it was very comfortable for the 4 of us. The beds were very comfortable, the cabin was clean, nice sheets and bath towels, and we close to the lodge and the lakes. Breakfast was good and satisfying (Hard boiled eggs, yogurt, oatmeal, dry cereal, bagels, muffins, toast, OJ, coffee & tea).... More

Dear KonaMom2, It was a pleasure speaking to you at Check-out the other day. We're really glad you came back and shared Tamarack Lodge with your Children as well.
