Please note that we did not book accommodations here- review is on skiing and food. My first time out cross-country skiing and I absolutely loved it. The staff for the rentals was knowledgeable and helpful. Trails were beautiful- I stuck to the beginner trails, but my husband (who is much more experienced at the sport), would make quick loops around... More

Very poor lounge attention - non- existent fireplace attention - I went for the ambiance the young and indifferent staff said -no fire In fireplace until the evening. I cannot tell you how many green backs I had prepared to make this my Winter home - but when lectured by an inexperienced worker - I asked - are you not... More

Stayed in lodge room and stayed in room 5 , Q with sink. Bathroom down the hall. Faces lake, quiet and cozy but plenty of room for duffles and walk around bed. Closet with lots of hangers, armoire and hooks on door. extra blanket and pillows in closet. We slept with heat off and one sheet. Can open window. Water... More

wonderful rooms overlooking Mammoth Village. Close to town and transportation. Mammoth can be a bit sleepy, but for us 50 somethings, this hotel is terrific. Thanksgiving dinner was great. Only downside is the hotel is expensive.

I have been coming to Mammoth Mountain for skiing for decades. When the wind is blowing like crazy and the snow is traveling horizontally, I escape to Tamarack Lodge for snowshoeing. There is also cross country skiing. Beautiful trails and never too far from the Lodge to go and rest in the beautiful rustic lobby with a hot chocolate.

We enjoyed our stay in a deluxe 1 BR cabin at Tamarack Lodge. However, there were a a few things that would have greatly improved the experience. First, given the price (over 400/night with lift tickets included for 2 on a holiday weekend), I would expect a full breakfast to be provided or at least be available. A rustic lodge... More

We traveled in January with lots of snow on the ground. We had Rm 110 on the second floor, corner of the building. Beautiful views, large size with table, chair and extra daybed. Highly recommendeded!

We started staying here about 30 years ago and while Mammoth has grown and changed, Tamarack has kept it's wonderful atmosphere away from the hustle and noise in town. I learned to cross country ski here many years ago and love to be able to just step out our cabin door and be skiing in this beautiful area. And summers... More

Went here on Tuesday, 22 December 2015, during a hellacious blizzard that shut down both alpine and x-c skiing. Our visit coincided with the Lodge losing power, but that did not dampen the level of service or the feel of the place. Tamarack staff went overboard to compensate for the lack of power: lanterns, candles safely placed about, food that... More

Spent Christmas Eve and Day at Tamarack Lodge. Loads of snow and very very helpful staff. Marcus especially was helpful in getting our luggage to our room since 2+ feet of snow made it difficult to walk much less care luggage. He was great!! The rooms are cozy and intimate with newer plumbing and heating. Just right for a quiet... More
