I was visiting the Mammoth area and decided to go cross country skiing for the first time. I visited during a time everything was snow capped in white which added to the enchanted feel of the place. I went to rent skis and pick up a pass at the little cabin located outside the main lodge and I felt like... More

A beautiful setting but far to expensive for what you get. We stayed in cabin 12 for 3 nights and my bill for the room only was $1600, Way to much for the location, amenities etc. I was told I was getting a 2 bedroom cabin but it was actually 1 bedroom and a loft. The loft doesn't have a... More

We have stayed here many times, always in a "rustic" queen cabin, never asking for a cabin assignment in advance. We LOVE cross country skiing and this place is the BEST for that. So...now the downside. Our "unassigned rustic queen cabin" had...well...a smell of death/pet urine coming from within. Mind you, this was during the Christmas holiday, and thus...sold out!... More

We stayed here for 2 days and this place is awesome. Esp the cabin. It's a little bit pricey, but you get all the quality stuff, right from the breakfast to soaps and shampoos. Its a little far from the centre but theres a free bus down to the village every 30 mins or so. There s a gr8 trail... More

We were a family with a variety of interest. You can catch the bus or it's a short drive to the lifts. And it's only a block or two walk to the movie theatre, bowling, stores, and restaurants. An older property but friendly with a great breakfast buffet, free spa, and shared activity rooms.

I stayed at the Tamarack Lodge for 3 nights over Christmas with my husband and dog. We had booked a 1 bedroom cabin, but they upgraded us to a 2 bedroom at no charge. The cabin (#30) was beautiful and very clean. It was nice to have the extra space. The master had a double, maybe queen bed. The bathroom... More

Stayed here one night for some race training at Mammoth. Stayed in cabin 20 with my wife and dog. Cabin was awesome, totally retro, but had some modern amenities and the kitchen had everything we need to self-cater. Porch was a little saggy on one end and there was a little rust in the bath pipes at first, but this... More

Tamarack is a wonderful, quiet, cozy place to stay while in Mammoth. I've stayed often. Just one warning - make sure to ask when you book if there is going to be a wedding or big event. There was a wedding on during my last stay that I was not informed of and it was very loud, the bar/restaurant was... More

Hubby and I stayed here after being in the backcountry for almost a week. So maybe that contributed to our absolute adoration of this place (Beds! Showers! Heat!). But it was such a good find. Really cute and cozy inside, a warming rustic atmosphere. Fireplace in the seating area in the lobby. Yes, it is shared restrooms, but we didn't... More

We stayed here 2 nights for a friends wedding and this is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen! The scenery was breathtaking, the little cabins were adorable, clean and comfortable! We had no complaints here.
